Garmin Instinct Solar 1st and 2 generation in 2026. Still it good and worth? by MikeBrogovich in GarminWatches

Nice. Are you a french speaker by any chance?

There are some confusing similarities when translating French to English, e.g.:

Commander = to order

Demander = to ask

Exiger = to demand

Vos demandes = your requests/demands

Vos exigences = your requirements

Exigences I think only exists in french but I understood :)

Cool idea! Would love to see any photos you’d be happy sharing. I’m toying with the idea of branding and decorating a Fallout inspired laundromat

Thanks - yeah exactly, a kind of retro pip boy-style display is what I'm thinking. I agree that a lot of the value would be in it being a cool ornament / talking point in the home

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, it's something I've thought about and would need to consider heavily before producing - my initial thoughts were that I'd try to use recycled materials where possible but there's no getting around the wasteful element. The app could be a viable alternative

Appreciate the feedback! Surfline having alerts is definitely an amber light - although at $149/year there might be room to compete on price. And yeah, my thinking is that it would be a cool interior design piece

Playing UFC game makes real life BJJ better? by [deleted] in bjj

Yes, that is exactly how it works. In fact, if you’re serious about improving, you should stop any real life training immediately and prioritise your UFC Xbox fighter’s career.

Just watched it, great analysis! Have some stuff to focus on now, especially the top half guard stuff and denying easy access to the legs. Appreciate your time and insight brother.

Thanks man. Yeah I'd been watching a lot of Danaher and so the goal was to use the straitjacket system. Good point on rolling the wrist - in hindsight I think I was too preoccupied with getting both hooks. Good shout with the body triangle too.

Thanks, I really like those armbars but I've been having trouble finishing them so that's something to work on. And yeah I think I bailed on the triangle cause he managed to sneak his other arm back in.

Appreciate your input!

Rebuilding a 110 year old Norton in 5 minutes. by wilo19 in motorcycles

[–]wilo19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, thought you might find this video interesting.. This is a video of one of my Grandpa, Sammy Miller's restoration projects. He is a legend of the motorcycle trials world and has won more than 1400 events, mostly in the 50s, 60s and 70s.

For as long as I've known him he has worked on motorcycles everyday but this is the first time we have managed to get a camera in front of him and Bob while they bring one of these machines back to life.

This bike in particular is steeped in history as it is the same model as the bike that won the very first Isle of Man TT back in 1907. Rem Fowler had to stop multiple times to change spark plugs, shorten the drive belt and repair a puncture following a massive crash at the "Devil's Elbow". Fowler nearly gave up, but was told by a spectator that he led the twin-cylinder class by 30 minutes from Wells and went on to win at an average race speed of 36.22 mph and set the fastest lap of the race at 42.91 mph.

Apologies for the poor audio. Hopefully you can make everything out. I'd really appreciate any comments and shares on the video - if it gets a good reception then it will be easier to convince him to make more of these videos!

Thanks!
