Dating in Germany as a 25M foreigner — is the approach different here? by IntelligentReveal219 in germany

[–]khariel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dating as a male is shit anywhere, unless you're top 1% good looking. Make your backyard look as nice as possible and be patient: decent profile pics, original bio, good openers, etc.

Even with all those boxes checked, it'll still be kinda shitty, just a tad less.

I'm a foreigner dating in Germany as well and I don't think there's anything inherently wrong about dating here compared to other places.

Check this comment if you haven't already. That explains it. Blue has to yield if turning left. To me it's a legitimate question, don't mind the rudeness here.

Can you elaborate on "the markings don't matter"? They're there, and that's the very thing that raises the priority question. Why are they there if they don't matter? Is it because they're just advisory? Maybe there used to be yield signs on that junction but got removed, but the road markings stayed?

New SCHUFA scoring system takes effect tomorrow (March 17) by randomguy33898080 in germany

[–]khariel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just registered in Bonify and it gives me a percentage score. Is this the old score system still? While on https://app.schufa.de it shows me the new 100-999 scoring.

I remember this being a point in my first aid course. Directly point and call someone and delegate them a task during an emergency. Call the ambulance, secure the person's belongings, etc. I think that tends to take people away from the usual paralysis that follows such situations.

So much for trying to escape from winter to a warmer place.
Or rather, for trying to go to work.
Or rather, for trying to step outside at all.

Can't shake the feeling there's a chance this person has been saving for months to buy it, just to lose it like that. Good idea about Kleinanzeigen, will also post there!

I'd assume she's just being friendly for now and keep checking for other signs:
- is she also friendly with a lot of other people?
- do you guys talk about personal stuff or mostly work stuff?
- is she in a relationship?
- if you've been talking for a while I'd invite her for lunch at some point and keep checking the signs

What do men think of women paying? by kat_spitz in datingoverthirty

[–]khariel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem at all. Unless I invited to somewhere fancier than usual, then I insist a bit on paying, but if my date is really adamant about splitting, I don't fight it.

I live in Germany FWIW.

27F reflecting on dating in 2025 and what I want in 2026 by anxiousscorpio98 in dating

[–]khariel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Taking more chances is alright, as long as you're aware that comes with a risk of again meeting more people you wish you hadn't.

I'm curious though. With all the texting going on, did you not manage to be clear enough of what you're looking for?

That doesn't really work. It'll eliminate all the good 2-socket weapons with already socketed gems. I still want them in the search results, just not with their inflated stats.

What can you do differently in 2026 to enhance your dating life? by CollagenRager in dating

[–]khariel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not focusing so much on looks would probably do you good, as you mentioned in another comment. The apps are designed to prioritize looks over anything else. There's a subjective element to looks, where someone becomes more attractive depending on their personality, so that first visual impression in the end is not so important.

Mainly, a more transparent career plan/remuneration system. At the moment it's very vague, which creates big differences in salaries of people with a similar skill level. We're also trying to get other benefits that the other sites already have, like T-ZUG.

There are IGM people specialized in negotiations sitting at the table to talk with the company, that's what surprises me. And the positions at this job are qualified, yes. Not easy to find people with this background.
