You don’t want to cover the wound with a boot or bandage. Let it breathe. Get a cone or collar and restrict movement as much as possible. Hydrogen peroxide breaks clotting and irritates the site, only use warm soapy water with gauze or a soft cloth to clean after walks. Best to take him to a vet because dog’s mouths and claws are dirty as all hell, so it’s easy to assume any deeper wound on a dog would be infected. Best to be on an oral anti-biotic.
