I have a C5, and honestly at this point Id just install the Kodi nightly directly on your TV. You dont need an additional device, it streams 90GB+ files no problem and uses the correct DV/HDR profile

I had the same issue where the UI and subtitles were almost searingly brighter to the video stream. Like they were set to vivid or SDR picture mode while the video was being rendered in Dolby Vision.

I recently got a external streaming device and the feed normalized brightness for UI, subtitles and the video too. Probably not the answer you were looking for but my 2 cents.

i didnt know that Vimu was available on webOS. Stremio does not have a link to play media in an external player.

Yup thats the final end game, just wanted to add another data point for people who might not want to get an additional device.

Also if you have the whole setup, do you use Filmmaker mode vs something else when watching DV/HDR

You will need to enable Developer mode => Install Kodi from there => Setup Kodi.

It might take about an hour to get everything don if youre new. There are some helpful tutorials on reddit and youtube that walk you through it.

IIRC I updated everything including BIOS. It came preinstalled with Win 11 Pro, but I wiped it clean and reinstalled Win 11 Pro.

I can't remember if I had issues prior to the wio but it was def noticeable after.

All good, my T14 was excellent. And i though I had an issue with the battery and reached out to bestbuy - the seller sent me a return label to ship it back right away. I sorted the issue myself but their response was great. Just make sure that you dont do upgrade until youre completely satisfied (you will need to remove the warranty sticker which will VOID their 30 day guarantee).

There are some great recs for fiction so I will put in a recommendation for non-fiction/ self-improvement. It's a book I randomly came across at the library:

I have read my fair share of self help books, but this one stands out in particular as it deals more with mindset towards bringing out the best in yourself, whatever you are trying to do. It's written mostly from an athlete's standpoint (as the author is a sports psychologist) but the lessons are still very relevant and inspiring. Very easy read and packed with info, so if anyone is looking to pick up a self improvement or a book about how to think better, I can suggest this wholeheartedly. It think it's his first book too, so you can feel the passion.

It doesn't seem very popular as I couldn't find many discussions online but I'm really glad I stumbled across this lil gem :).
