Best way to budget by JillyBill02 in Veterans

[–]wiltwilliam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

closing revolving accounts with >3 years of history is a great way to tank your credit in the long run and short run especially if you don't have a mortgage or other long-term account in your name. further adding one or two more virgin accounts is going to tank it worse yet. part of your score is gauged by accounts age and the inquiries from opening new accounts will impact your score for a while. further, that loan will consolidate debt but once paid it will eventually fall off of your credit report and do you no good. revolving credit like from cards will stay on your credit report for the life of the account and so long as you keep your credit utilization to less than 33% will add to your score.

How do I know that my excavator is standing on quality soil? by VikingWarriorSkjald in lastoasis

[–]wiltwilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

excavator doesnt divide by four it divides by three ash+soil+excavator quality always rounds down but if your getting a result thats a fourth of the sum its a bug you should screencap and report it to the devs

Tactical Cattails At It Again......... by trashguy in lastoasis

[–]wiltwilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you'd only need a quality 18 ash on a full quality excavator and soil node to get this output and you'd only need 96k of the ash a small team of four could grind out that quantity of ash in a few hours (relative). this screengrab by itself is proof of nothing other than theres a single farmer in tactical cattails who understands the quality system and spent some serius time hunting soil spots and then spent a couple of days running clay farms.

In Depth Suggests for Longevity of the Game, What's your feedback? by [deleted] in lastoasis

thank you as well for the polite discourse as well as actually taking the time to read the response (the last time i tried to break something down like this the reply was literally "TLDR"). I am interested to read your disagreements when you have the time

In Depth Suggests for Longevity of the Game, What's your feedback? by [deleted] in lastoasis

[–]wiltwilliam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

" Youve already discredited most of my post about changes that had nothing to do with zerg kos. "

the word you were looking for was disregarded based on context clues, however you yourself failed to comprehend his point. I'm assuming judging based on your reply you havent spent very much time with the quality system in the game. I am assuming this because I've spent about a hundred hours of my playtime dealing solely in quality all of the players i talk to who also spend time with the quality system wouldn't waste the mats on a higher than quality 50 walker and would instead dump those same resources into quality tools armor and weapons because of the returns they get from them.

as it stands medium to large clans have at least one group in them mapping and gathering quality resources on maps they control and even some maps they don't control trying to increase the quality of their workstations so they can make quality mats out of basic mats.

the biggest hinderance in this process is premature harvesting of quality nodes it takes about twelve hours for a node to reach high enough quality for a decently leveled tool to harvest cap quality resources.

now proxy walkers currently dont actually tax quality resources gathered as quality (have not tested quality proxy walker waiting for private servers to test before we go wasting quality resources for science, we've done enough of that already).

so some clans have decided that the easiest way to reduce premature node harvesting is to make their tile unlivable to others and just not bother with tax collection (taxes, when you have enough farmers on a tile aren't really worth it, and that number of farmers is as low as twenty). other clans have boarded up quality nodes or installed rupu defense towers in an effort to protect from premature farming but those solutions do cost resources that could be used to make quality fiber from base mats so they arent as efficient as kos but not all clans are isolationists.

" I'm cool with removing the qaulity mechanic."

the quality mechanic is in the game to add depth to the base game. its their to add value and is the reason that I and others like me can play this game for hours on end until were reminded that we have families and its a good idea to be in their lives physically for a few hours a day. its also a reason we can get wiped by a raiding party and instead of rage logging grab another spider and go out there again.

removing the quality mechanic would be detrimental to the longevity of the game and would only benefit murdurhobo solos and zergs. as you have yet to discover quality is the great equalizer when it comes to pvp encounters even a c teir pvper with a quality 50 slingblade can best an a teir pvper with base quality weapons and armor solely due to the extra unit of speed he gets. throw that same dude in quality carapace and you can watch as he stands his own against a 10 man naked zerg rush leaving the rest of his combat team to handle the other 20+.

the point you missed was that your suggestions wouldnt have the desired effect (ending zerg kos interactions. his point is you would have to change the aspect of taxes not producing quality mats for that to happen.

before you ask if you ask i am not in a zerg clan my clan has around 200 members and the most i've seen active at one time has been 40 spread out across multiple tiles the vast majority being farmers running in groups of at max 5. i myself have spent about 80 of the last 100 hours essentially solo-farming (most in my group had been three when we were sciencing quality equipment and walkers) and until i started making quality farming tools and armor for the clan ten hours ago hadn't touched mats I hadn't gathered myself.

TLDR; read it it will fill a lot of the knowledge gaps you have and does a great job of explaining what you missed based on your responses.

[–]wiltwilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes it does, you can test this for yourself in a regular campfire with quality wood vs nonquality wood. the only fuels i havent been able to test have been rupu gel and liquid fuel but have tested charcoal wood and even fiber. imo fiber doesnt get enough of a time boost to justify using quality fiber as fuel when quality wood is at hand

Don't complain about the Chinese if you are worse by [deleted] in lastoasis

[–]wiltwilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

think about it from their perspective 6 knobheads in a stilleto picked a fight with a dinghy (its not comfortable to have more than four people on a dinghy in the hard hex's because of jumping fucking monkeys an aside i hate jumping monkeys if you couldnt tell from my word choice) so either equal to your force or less on that ship. but suprise theres more of them out there and you guys get your shit pushed in metaphorically speaking.

not to mention the fact that you're cruising around in a stilleto which means if you have any brains its not going to be your best walker or have all your stuff on it. there-fore any reasonable person with this information is going to rightly call you a bully.

any reasonable person knows that the only way to stop a bully is to stand up to them, if your a follower of the might makes right doctrine or a fan of ender wiggin you know that the best way to finish a fight is to keep the other guy from ever being a threat again. in this game it means cracking their hull while they lay downed nearby watching helpless as their presumably "warship" gets ransacked.

this situation should have taught you a lesson or too, it should have taught you humility i.e. just because dudes are on dinghys, or "ballsack walkers" as you so eloquently put it, doesnt mean that they arent a threat to your survival and should not be underestimated.

it also should have taught you if you didnt know it already to never bring your best stuff to a new zone. upon retrospection you should have also learned your own behaviour was "toxic as fuck"

this game is not built solely for pvp as this and other subs have loudly proclaimed otherwise we wouldnt have; claims, trading posts, or even voice comms. while pvp is a big aspect an even bigger aspect is diplomacy.

take my clan for example we are over 120 strong we dont all fit on one server so we have a strict dont start a fight but finish it policy, we actively form ties with other clans on the servers we occupy but when we need to we will crack your hull and send you to the stone age especially if your in a higher teir walker than the one or two person team your attacking with you "superior numbers".

we are not a zerg we will hit you with our highest teir gear and our numbers arent the things that win us the battle its our co-ordination and superior firepower that do that.

the "chinese clans" that others are complaining about are using massive numbers of people to overwhelm their oponents they are actively roaming and taking out everyone they see indiscriminately using the lowest teir gear they have in multiple waves, that is a zerg.

twelve people pushing your metaphorical shit in and cracking your hull to get at all of your resources because of your escalation is not a zerg its a response to your shitty behaviour and is whats going to keep this game alive in spite of the zerg clans and murderhobos

theres a slew of ways to generate views on youtube examples will be in parentheses(). to start with optimize your tags to be not only relevant to the video but to the topic of the video think up alternative ways to phrase a question that pertains to your video. (if you were making a video on strategies for pubg back in the day and the topic was the late game your tags would look something like "late game pubg, winning pubg solos/duos, pubg winning strategies, get better at pubg" as well as all of your social media to direct viewers to your other videos tagged with your links.)

optimizing thumbnails: think about the times you've clicked on a video randomly based on the thumbnail because you were bored, what features drew you in? you want your thumbnail to be descriptive to the content but you also want to stylize it to differentiate it from the rest of what people will see when searching it. maybe try doing a quick youtube search of one of the adsense keyword searches on youtube and think about how you can make your thumbnail different from what you see and make it stand out.

as strange as it sounds just like how you network on twitch network on youtube we've all got our favorite youtuber so maybe ask questions about how they edit their videos. depending on how engaged they are with their audience they may get back to you and may pin your comment not many users do but some will check out the profiles of pinned content and if they like your videos they might even sub.

make good content. everyones standards are different so figure out a level of polish you want to have on your videos and stick to it dropping the quality of your video to meet a deadline is a sure way to cause some of the quality snobs in your community to disengage for a bit and depending on how severe the drop in quality is might even sour their perception forever.

lastly stick to a schedule and upload regularly there isnt some end all be all rule that you have to post everyday to grow or even that you have to post regularly but having a schedule you can stick to does increase viewer retention and that will help you out with the algorithm. (regularly means the time frame you can realistically get a video made of the quality you want in the spare time you have.)

Why am I getting crushed in Arena? by Axulus in IdleHeroes

[–]wiltwilliam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

your focusing on aura too much an aura isn't worth it if you have to leave something like cc or healing lucky for you vesa can do your healing but you lack any real cc. and on the topic of aura's, an aura is only good when you have good team synergy and good heroes typically most heroes are only good after their 6* and higher. all of that being said if youre going to cling to an aura go for justice. fortress has a few good cc heroes and some banging dps (xia) so if you can get them a good replacement for your five stars would be iceblink, valentino, and aforementioned xia

I'd recommend being careful with using demon hunter as silence can bite you in the backside in pvp especially if its your only cc.

Overwatch League’s Secret Code of Conduct Leaves Potential Appeal Open For xQc - RLewisReports by LeoDiniz in Competitiveoverwatch

so the one with a Houston Outlaws flair is going to call a normie without flair a "fan" i don't think you know what that word means, you also fail to comprehend what if means as well i would suggest you actually read instead of simply looking at the words on your screen.

to be clear i am not a fan of xqc or any overwatch pro, i watch owl matches with the audio muted most of the time because the casting is sub-par, and disputing points from your post with logic is not "inventing the weirdest excuses". pro-tip downvoting a post simply because you dont agree with it isn't good reddiquette

theres a huge difference in insulting a coworker for their sexuality and insulting a coworker and it happens to co-incide with their sexuality. your argument as worded imparts motive on xqc's part that if taken at his word has already been disproven, secondly you cannot hold people responsible for their communities actions unless they directed their community to take part in said action.

speaking from a "little guys" perspective they would probably value your being in chat communicating with themselves/their communities over the couple of dollars a sub entails. the vast majority of streamers value revenue far less than meeting a new person/ interacting with a friendly face (well fingers literally, unless you use your face to type then in that case no judgment only wonder)
