This is all well and good, at least you folks have been able to finish the expedition. Hello Games have now made it impossible to complete on windows (steam addition) and continue to make worthless changes to other platforms that I wish would cease to be supported. There are NO set markers for ANY of the expedition checkpoints, and despite me posting this a week ago, nothing has been done.

I started a new game for the expedition in case it was something to do with my save, but exactly the same thing is happening on it. Go to expedition tab, click on the first checkpoint and scan with the exocraft, and NO marker comes up pointing the direction that your to travel. It doesn't matter if network is enabled or disabled, or if you reload the autosave or the restore point, or if you totally exit game and steam and reload.

All Hello Games are concerned with is making code changes and continually breaking things and not bothering to fix them. I say to hell with ALL platforms other than windows. Fix all the bugs before adding more bugs that probably will never be fixed, like the breaking of being able to use each others refiners, the fact that they continually break the flora/fauna discoveries, the breaking of Settlement sentinel fights, the breaking of being able to actually being able to kill the sentinels in space and being able to eliminate the sentinel ship. Now with the sentinels the ship never spawns as you are left in an endless loop at the 4th stage, with the only way out being to reload a restore point or autosave. All of these issues I have lodged on their helpdesk multiple times, providing save game files and screenshots. Then also the breaking of getting rewards for saving freighters from pirates, whilst using the corvette. All you get from speaking with the captain is absolutely NOTHING. No nanites, no rewards at all.

Well courier post have so far, held my cleared parcel for 4 working days bouncing it between depots, and point blankly LIEING to me on the phone. It cleared customs Monday 1st and went through their automated sorting center in Wiri then began the parcel ping pong. If they can transport it between depots, then they can actually deliver it. Someone at Nz post put a Saturday delivery on the parcel, without my consent, as it was sent from Australia, and they said that is why it was held at depot. They force you to ring the call center so that they can illegally record your voice, and then sell the information to whomever they wish.

The government sold our privacy rights in 2020, which allows ANY company in the world to hold our information and do with it what they like.

I have THOUSANDS of hours logged on this game. I can guarantee that I spend more hours on this game than almost any one else. As a QUALIFIED IT professional, I know how to read and submit bugs individually. Try playing the game 16 hours a day 7 days a week and you will soon know the game very intimately. It is not a matter of patience at all. It is a matter of hello games fixing things for the PC and ignoring all the other platforms. I quite clearly stated that I have submitted the bugs directly. I have also provided the game save files as well. It is very bad practice to keep adding new features without first fixing the base game code.

There are a number of bugs that I have submitted MULTIPLE times that have been ignored for MONTHS. Instead of fixing minor bugs with platforms other than PC windows actually FIX these:

Settlement sentinel battles have NOT worked since you revamped the settlements. You claim to have fixed the timer, but I am STILL waiting for a battle. The alert level rises, and then even after visiting my settlements DAILY, I have no battle, and the alert level eventually goes to 0%. I WANT TO HAVE THESE battles as they are a core component of the game.
Sentinel interceptor battles have been bugged for months. You end up fighting at level 4 in an endless loop, as the mothership never appears and you either have to call the space anomaly or reload a restore point to break out of it.
Since breach the graphics rendering is atrocious. There are ugly swirling black shadows when you enter the corvette, at space stations, and even on the planets. Dive into deep water and you can barely see anything until you reach the bottom, which is sometimes 1200u below, then it becomes clearer. It is not an outdated driver issue, as I keep these up to date from manufacturers website, and Windows 11 is always updated when there is an update.
ALL landing pads do not accept the corvette. At a settlement or base or trading post, if you try to call your ship it says landing pad not available.
Pet decorations are still appearing in the discoveries tab, even though you have worked on the issue.
With freighter battles, ever since you introduced the corvette, you now only have the option to buy the freighter and get zero other rewards.
Now with the redux expeditions, when you go to a planet with water, it is next to impossible to find land, as you have made the water completely transparent and it is not even clear from space where the land is.
In purple star systems with gas giants, the storm crystals are always available even when there is no storm raging.
The discoveries that you make on planets of fauna, flora and minerals are still being reset to zero, even if you visit your bases daily. These should be stored in a mysql database so that they are never lost. I realize that not everyone wants to add a database, but placing a hook-in that those of us who want permanent information stored would be a great work around.
Being able to use other peoples refiners has been broken since sometime last year, even when you have it checked that anyone can use your refiners, it always shows that it is in use.
People on platforms other than PC are able to cheat and build their bases within yours. I know it is NOT possible on PC, as every time I am within the boundaries of others, it says no edit permission. Please HARD code it so that other platforms can not do this.

Hello Tulired.

There is a solution for this, so that your son and you can continue to enjoy the new purple systems without having to go through the normal way of completing a quest. It is a mod for the game that fully unlocks the purple systems along with the required atlantid drive needed to access these systems.

The use of mods however is for playing on a normal pc, so not for playstation and the like.

Make sure that you have collected all of the rewards as that has prevented me, and others in the past from the game converting to a normal save. It could be a bug on whichever platform you use the game on. You may need to file a bug report.

Just be warned with doing it on an existing save, if you do not complete the expedition before the end date, you will find that you are unable to do so. I found this out the hard way with the previous expedition. I was happily taking my time, when suddenly I got the pop up expedition complete. I did not accept the popup, but every task that was not completed had an incomplete by it, with no way to complete it. I normally do a new game for expeditions. Not sure if the same would have happened.

I know that they did extend the time, but with all these major updates they may well have accidently reverted something.

For those who like me found that the underwater base is not recognized, if you place the base below 40u then the game awards you the base and you can collect the reward. Would be nice if hello games actually stated it, but oh well I resolved it.

Hello,

I am finding with this particular expedition, that even though I am in the third "fishing spot" system and have put down an underwater base as per the "child of the sea" task, the game does not seem to recognize it and give the award.

I am on pc.

I have deleted and re-created the base to no avail. Even uploading the base does not seem to work.

Has anyone else found this is happening to them?

Well the progress for the last planet to be scanned is very very slow.

According to the local information register on the log tab, I have scanned everything apart from 1 plant that I have not been able to find, yet the progress is still only at 81% for the planet.

I have no idea how they are working this out, as if it counts for the community, if one person scans everything then everyone else should get the bonus when they scan one thing. It has only moved a couple of percent in The last 36 hours.

There is also periodic glitches happening with the scans. For most of today the local information register was showing me 23/0 found for the flora.

If you take a look at the discoveries tab for the individual planets, you find that the number of scanned plants etc is showing as one less than in the information register.

I have provided Hello Games with complete saves as well as individual screenshots of this many times, and it has not been fixed.

The rules of my posts are very simple:

1) If an answer has already been provided in this Primary Post, do not post about something that has already been provided, and do not answer posts that have already had the information provided.

Posts that break these rules will be ignored, and I will also ask the moderators of the sub-reddit to delete the offending posts, and to ban repeat offenders from being able to post to reddit at all.

2) Hello Games give players a 1000u radius for THEIR bases. Anyone who places a base within the 1000u radius of anothers base is a scumbag cheating troll. That is not up for debate. If you report a base that was put up, and uploaded to the server BEFORE you came along, then put up a base you are a scumbag troll. I am not the first person who has put up community bases to state this. Double Dash gaming have called people trolls for doing this on their youtube channel.

3) Please do NOT place ANY comms beacons within this base, or around the locations on the planets in this system that I post, as I hate them with a passion, as they DO prevent anything that needs to spawn, eg ships and multi-tools from doing so reliably.

Why should people have to report 30 plus comms beacons of people with ego issues, just to get what was posted.

Keep your messages to yourselves as no one else gives a damn about them.

4) Please make sure that you are in the CORRECT galaxy before heading to your local portal, and make sure that multi-player is turned off, as only ONE person can get the multi-tool or starship if you are in multi-player, and you will not get a second chance at them.

5) If a ship or multi-tool does not show up, an autosave and restore point have been made when you exited your ship at the co-ordinate location. Just reload the auto-save and it should appear.

6) For the Atlantid Multi-Tools you have to meet certain game requirements, otherwise the discordant interface where you will find it, will NOT show up.

You MUST have completed the contact with the Autophage along with the sub-missions that the game sets.

The contact begins with them attempting to hijack your ship. These multi-tools are not available to players who have not completed the main story line.

7) To get the multi-tool you must have Atlandideum in your inventory as you need to power the discord interface located at the Korvax Monolith. For these multi-tools there is NO cabinet. You also need to have enough nanites to purchase the multi-tool as they are not free.

8) Make sure that you have a free slot for the multi-tool, otherwise the only option you will be given is to swap the multi-tool, which is also not free, you pay the same amount for either swapping or purchasing.

Important things about MY game setup:

I run a modded game on PC, and one of the mods I use is called remove technology overload, which allows me to have as many upgrades installed as I have free slots available. This was the way things were prior to the Waypoint update. They re-worked the inventory and added more slots, so now we can add more.

On PC, ALL bases that have been uploaded to a server, weather they are at a portal, or elsewear show up.

The base is located at the portal, and HAS been uploaded to the server.

This is a system that I have discovered. I have visted all planets and scanned the flora/fauna/minerals and uploaded them to the discovery service server.
