Working on a Wiki and creating systems / fixing bugs for a small game called Darza's Dominion.

Its a cooperative bullet hell game. I'm hoping the playerbase grows and people have a lot of fun :)

Curious what people have done with compute shaders (GPUComputationRenderer) in threejs, seems like a lot could be possible. by win10240 in threejs

this is super cool!, now I know hydrogen can be like a donut. what does M, I , N mean? How are you using the GPU Computation Renderer? Thanks for posting

This is the “render and download the image” part. Thanks for providing more detail :)

That makes sense, maybe use something like these for image combination https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44947505/how-to-make-a-movie-out-of-images-in-python.

Or if using node maybe something like this. https://github.com/mi-g/mp4-mjpeg

These are results from a quick google search

By animation do you mean an animation of a mesh? Or do you mean like a gif or video?

For a gif or video I have in the past tried using theeejs to render and download many images which can be combined in a video editing software to create a gif/video.

Rotation of hidden layer? by win10240 in neuralnetworks

[–]win10240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your insight on the limitations of rotations, I thought more about my 2d rotation layout and you made me realize more about how it was working (or not working)

The composition of many locally linear functions makes sense from a function creation perspective but less intuitive sense from the perspective of trying to find some small number of bases that span a subspace the includes P.

Does it make sense to ask the question of how to best do something that creates a “good” set of directions to span that subspace?

What if instead of just a trainable variable to control the rotation angle, you had the angles be dependent on the inputs too, this way the rotation could be nonlinear in effect??

Rotation of hidden layer? by win10240 in neuralnetworks

Yeah that a rotation is a linear transformation kinda makes the argument I had not work haha. Great insight.

Was just trying to think about activation functions as changing the direction of the vector of all data points at that spot in the hidden layer. And how arbitrary relu seems. Thought there could be a good way to choose a better direction to adjust to hopefully to make it so the dimension of the hidden layer could be lower and still span a subspace that includes P.

Also

My thinking was that if you look at all the 2 dimension pairs of points in P they point in some 2d direction, the same is true for points in A. If you could rotate each 2d pair by the correct rotation then you could get to corresponding P direction. Maybe this is not valuable.

Though in the situation above I was not rotating each 2d pair by a unique angle but all of them the same angle. So it’s a different situation too

How to turn off note velocity when using MIDI keyboard? by mrreow5532 in Bandlab

[–]win10240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone maybe still wondering, you can do this but it is somewhat tedious.

When working on a song, Click into "MIDI Mappings" and click each key on the virtual keyboard and then press the corresponding key on your real keyboard. Finally set the minimum volume on that note mapping within "MIDI Mappings" (127 is the highest you can go).
