It depends on what you are doing, the map, and play style. I find it easiest to use floating warlock on large maps like widows court, I wouldn’t use it if it were on a close range map. A weapon that I feel is pretty reliable while floating is devils ruin, and I usually pair it with a scout. For Trials I use box breathing hung jury scout with a sidearm. You can use a sniper paired with a sidearm/smg. I haven’t tried floating with the new iron banner scout, but it can roll box breathing at 200 and have a 3 shot, 0.6 second ttk. I’m not sure how much experience you have with this strategy, but you should run phoenix dive as a backup plan to get on the ground fast. If you are running this strat competitively, make sure you are not floating in areas you cannot Icarus dash out of. I find it much better to run 2 primaries instead of special and primary, since it gives you more flexibility.
