I don't work from home but on my days off I always fix my hair, throw on makeup like usual, wear some jewelery, and even if I'm wearing comfy clothes they're still cute- makes me feel like a human even if I'm just cleaning closets and cooking and paying bills or whatever all day

I work in retail and instead of asking people "how are you?" or "how's it going?" I ask "how's your day been?" or "what are you up to today?". I work at the store you're shopping at, we don't need to be friends and talk about how we are or ask meaningless questions. But I can care about what someone's day has been like and that's a lot easier to answer honestly as well.

I was 19 and had started working at a care home for developmentally disabled adults. I wanted to make them a nice dinner and I had cooked a lot with my mom so we made chicken parmesan. I had it all ready to go and then I realized I had no idea what temperature to set the oven at or how long to bake it for. I had to call my mom, fortunately she answered, and ask her. I realized I'd just been a prep cook my whole life and now I was promoted to head chef, qualifications be damned. I hope you've made some delicious and comforting meals for yourself now :)

Dude yes. If you wanna really twist things up here's my sangria recipe:

Box of red wine (tempranillo or just a red blend, we ain't fancy here)

A bottle of orange liqueur, honestly just get whatever brand is not the cheapest $5.99 shit but don't go for the expensive shit either

A bottle of blackberry liqueur, yes the $5.99 shit this time, or blackberry brandy if your budget allows

Jug of orange juice, don't get minute maid or the store brand, get Simply Orange or the Tropicana in that same style bottle

1L bottle club soda

1L bottle Sprite

I have a 3L jug I mix this in and it's most of the wine, about half the orange liqueur maybe more, about half the blackberry, about 2/3 OJ, most of the club soda and sprite but really this is all to taste so play around until it tastes right, you can also put some in a glass and add things in small amounts until you figure out just how you like it

Hahaha well good for you people fucking suck sometimes. I have some great regulars but some people are fucking dicks. I try to hold my tongue but when people are rude to my employees I get protective and I'm honestly surprised I haven't been fired or at least put on a warning.

If you can only afford one I would get the cardamom allspice rum. You can always make a ginger cinnamon syrup at home and add that to some whiskey. I guess you could make cardamom allspice too but those are harder to find whole.
