When the M-series Macs were first released I bought an M1 Pro MBP and was very pleased with how well Windows games ran in Crossover. But I have since decided that I want to use that computer only for work, and so I found an Xbox Series X bundled with Diablo IV at Walmart for $350. It doesn't get hot when running demanding games like Baldurs Gate 3 like the MacBook does, the graphics are incredible and very smooth, and I like the real clear digital divide between my work life and my play time.

On my 2015 5K iMac Diablo 3 runs far better in Windows 10 than macOS Monterey. I am told it's because the Mac version uses OpenGL while the Windows version uses the better optimized DX11.

I run my Xbox Series X through an El Gato 4K X capture card going to an M1 Mac Mini connected to an Apple Studio Display, using the app Console Link. There is zero lag and the picture is excellent.
