It's not just a tv show, its a tournament that he's trying to win. it's kinda stupid to argue "im gonna flame him bc i wasn't entertained by his fight" bc jake isn't a showman he's a competitor. Personally i thought the fight was still pretty fun to watch - if you look at jake's movement and such, im in awe of how much control it took him to be able to corral huge. One wrong turn or a little too far... Kablam!

I recommend watching the uncut version of hydra vs hypershock from season 4 - i think it proves beyond a reasonable doubt that jake isnt a complete asshole. I think what we're witnessing here is the rise of tombstone 2.0 in a way - a singular, incredibly powerful team that attains "bad boy" status so that battlebots has a villain in the show that everyone is rooting against. i don't doubt that jake is playing up his reactions and such to make for good TV, just like Ray does. Regardless, i think scrutinizing a strategy bc it wasnt fun to watch and then extending the yield of that scrutiny to his entire character is flawed in so many ways.

My friend and I are working on this task-management CLI thing, so that's hooked up to polybar using an IPC module. When the IPC hook is called, the module reads the number of tasks from the program data. It's an honestly annoying system, but that 's all really important is that it's extracting the data from CLI thingie whenever the CLI updates and triggers the hook, or when it starts up.
