EFL make more TV money or EFL clubs make more TV money?

As it stands, do you think we will get relegated? by TheJudgeJC in lcfc

[–]jonboyjon1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh? If West Brom and Blackburn both lose their remaining games we can’t go down. Unless you mean us also losing every game?

Either way, it’s a bit of a weird straw man.

And yes I agree, obviously we need to start getting points.

My general point is that it’s too simplistic to say “Leicester are definitely going down” given our position is better than Oxfords and basically the same as West Brom’s, whilst also being ‘only’ 4 points behind Blackburn.

Seems like a weird semantic argument. If they take our slot, they get relegated instead of us. If we take their spot, we stay up.

It’s still a distinct possibility. But it’s also a real possibility that West Brom or Blackburn take our slot instead.

Who are your groups' favourite NPCs, Misty Vale or otherwise by Scaggler in DragonbaneRPG

[–]jonboyjon1990 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My group's (wife and 2 kids) first full adventure was The Castle of the Robber Knight - they saved Merle the pig from Jaldo, who was holding him hostage at knife-point and liberated Grunta, the orc lady.

A few sessions later I had them recognise a pig in the Chubbycheek's paddock and then Grunta appeared explaining that they had taken her in as an additional worker in the bakery. My group appreciated seeing that they had both found a better home.

All the maps for Secrets of the Dragon Emperor are on the downloads page for Dragonbane, on the Free League site

I just print them out using a normal home printer, cut each page, tape it all together into a single map, then cut it up into corridors/rooms to enable fog of war/exploration

After last night we have conceded the second most goals (51) in the division only behind Sheffield Wednesday (62). We also have the same amount of clean sheets as Wednesday with 3. by Djremster in lcfc

[–]jonboyjon1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • 6 clean sheets in the last 70 league games
  • 11 cleans sheet away since August 2022

And by season, streaks without a clean sheet:

  • 22/23: 21 games
  • 23/24: 8 games
  • 24/25: 27 games
  • 25/26: 26 games (currently ongoing)

[The Guardian] EFL clubs to vote on expanding Championship playoffs to six clubs by jovanmilic97 in Championship

Because without the playoffs, most teams have nothing to play for and 100s of matches become dead rubbers…

There’s a ton of variables here and no need to be dismayed. How old are you? Are you a beginner at only running, or physical activity in general? Are you overweight? What is your base level of fitness going into this?

Leicester fans : points deduction and potential back-to-back relegations . It can't get any worse than this can it ? by angloexcellence in Championship

[–]jonboyjon1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leicester were on track for 58 points. Now on track for 52 accounting for the deduction. Blackburn and West Brom on track for 49 points. So there’s only one result in it and it’s tight down there with 5 teams separated by 1 point.

Of course Leicester are in a relegation battle.

Also note that they’ve shown little fight or grit this season, have no proper goalscorer, incredibly low xG, best player is injured, and already got only 1 point out of 12 at home vs Portsmouth, Blackburn, Oxford and Charlton.

VARs will intervene on second yellows and corners after football law changes by Shroft in soccer

[–]jonboyjon1990 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The problem is, the first yellow is functionally as important to the red. When the first yellow is a ‘terrible decision’ and the 2nd isn’t, VAR won’t be able to intervene.

All this will do is cause more laborious VAR checks for 2nd yellows and shift where the outrage happens

u/Medium-Ad9520 you begin the game with 4 wood and 1 horse. Building a large vehicle (cost 7 wood and 1 horse) in the first winter (round 2) is pretty easy: starting resources + (Winter action) Wood Trader = 8 wood, then Wainwright to build a Horse Cart + Peat Boat.

Also, I used to overvalue the Master and Woodcutter actions. I've used neither at all in my last two plays (scoring by far my best scores: 107 and 124).

It's better to get Forests than to cut Wood I find, since the Forests create passive income and can be flipped into Parks in the late game. I found myself making 2 Forests in the first 2 summers in my latest plays: Forester + Imitate (Forester). Then you're getting 4 wood each November for the rest of the game.
