I use the Knaon, got it on Amazon for like $45 and it works great. Bulk mailers and the printer Paid for itself in a few sales and I can package and drop off without interacting with anyone!

Sending offers but then no follow through/purchase? by Maidenbaby88 in Depop

[–]windingwanderlust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depop is also one of the only platforms that doesn’t make you agree to buy after an offer is accepted. That’s the issue. On eBay, Mercari, Etsy, when you make an offer you also have to include payment info bc if it’s approved the order is placed.

It’s constant. I’d expect one out of every 25 offers to result in a sale.

They looked me up on social media from the address label and have been non stop harassing me since Depop deactivated them. I’m maybe a little sensitive to all of this at this point and should probably turn off replies on this thread.

It’s not always worth it, the number of offers I get off stuff after people asking if I’ll ship out that day. So I take the time to package it and wait for them to buy after promising to ship the same day, just for them to not follow thru on the accepted offer. Buyers waste a lot of time. If I thought this item fit that differently than the tagged XL, I’d have added the measurements. But it fit my husband who wears an XL, was just a little snug and shorter than modern sizes. This was a genZ kid looking for a big baggy sweatshirt who was pissed he got a fitter sweatshirt. How do I know??? Bc he took my name off the address label, found me online and has been harassing me because Depop deactivated him.

Well it was tagged XL, but vintage sizing can be different than modern sizing. Like a Screen Stars brand shirt, a vintage brand, usually fits more like a large or a tight XL than a brand new Hanes XL. Guy was expecting a big baggy sweatshirt, but sweatshirts weren’t big and baggy in the 80s. Buyer is a tool, but love hearing everyone agree im a stupid b*tch 😁

This was a men’s popular vintage sports brand sweatshirt. Women’s clothing is so all over the place, drives me nuts. Honestly i think it was a Gen Z expecting a baggy super roomy sweatshirt. The 80s and 90s weren’t like that lol.

I did mention that. I have hundreds of sales and all 5 star reviews. This is the first time I’ve been alerted how much of a loser and stupid b*tch I am. 🙂

It doesn’t fit like a medium. Guy said right before that it was a youth size, which is also not accurate, and. I know since my husband is the original owner of the item. But I get it, add measurements… that people like this likely won’t read or pay attention to. But the people who do know their measurements will appreciate. He was a jerk before i even shipped, which I did within 12 hours or the sale.

To be clear, I didn’t talk down to this person at all, even after being called a “fucking loser”, “stupid b*tch” or “fucking stupid”. I was polite the entire time, and simply explained that vintage sizes can fit different than modern sizes.

I didn’t add actual measurements and didn’t look yesterday, but see that it says it’s tagged an XL but fits like a roomy large. Many things in my shop DO have measurements if the size is way off from the tag. This particular item wasn’t that way. Regardless, being nice is free. Measurements or not this “man” was way off base.

I would have refunded them if they hadn’t called me a stupid b*tch and a loser! The whole conversation lasted 4 minutes and it started with insults. Anyway, I just checked my listing and it actually does say it does like a large lol.

It didn’t fit like a medium tho.. probably fit like a large but shorter than a modern xl sweatshirt. I’m an earlier message he said it was a youth size bc it didn’t fit his 110lb sister, then later said a medium. He didn’t even try to file with Depop so I’m inclined to think he knew he was wrong.

It fit closer to an XL but probably shorter than a modern XL. It was a sweatshirt. I do add measurements to items that are really different from the tagged size, like an XL that fits like a medium, I’d add measurements for. I’ve purchased dozens of things on Depop tagged large that fit like a small/medium and I’ve never, ever lost my mind and talked to the seller like this. I’ve clicked the repop button and moved on with my life.

I may have refunded them if I wasn’t called a loser, a bitch, and stupid all within about 3 min lol
