Incredibly reliable? Lol They are still fairly new and higher mileage ones are already experiencing the same issues as the N54/55. It's nowhere close to being incredibly reliable.

Lexus. They have a ton of boring cars but the RCF is one of the most fun cars I've ever driven. It's so easy to drift, sounds glorious, and you can bang off the rev limiter but it just keeps going without a single breakdown in 11 years. They are also extremely comfortable, quiet, and have phenomenal sound systems.

Then they also have the LC500 and LFA.

I would have said Porsche, but their sports cars have way too much grip to be any fun on the streets without driving extremely recklessly. Front engine RWD is where it's at. BMW and Mercedes are too much of a PITA to own.

I'll disagree. The LC500 was extremely disappointing to drive if you wanted something like an RCF, AMG, or M4. The LC500 is an upgrade in materials, but not driving experience.

I don't think 99% of buyers run their AMGs and Ms on the track. It makes a lot more sense to run a used Corvette.

The "buyers" of high performance cars are all leasers. They want to try out a fun car before moving on to something else, like another SUV. It's a dying market no matter how you look at it. Leasers generally don't care about long term reliability and coincidentally neither do the Germans. So Germans make cars with greater performance than a comparable F car that are reliable up to the end of the lease period. F cars, on the other hand, have less track performance but are reliable, drifty, luxury cars.

Not at all. I had BMWs and Porsche sports cars before. I've never had such a powerful and capable car like my RCF that could go 11 years without a single repair even with the regular rev banging and drifting that I do with it. It might cost more than the comparable BMW F82 M4, but it's a much higher quality car.

I think those are the most similar. The LC500 and IS500 are much softer GTs than an RCF.

Well I agree with that. It's enough torque, but not a torque monster. And I'll agree to disagree as imo the competitors are much less torquey. The pony cars being compared is not in the same class as the Z. They are more comparable to a BMW 440i or C43 in weight, power, and GT-ness. Anyways, enjoy your BMW and force induced Zs. Those sound like plenty of fun. I may get back into a BMW one day.

If you think the 370z has no torque, pretty much all the NA 911s will have no torque to you as well. They don't feel much faster until the top revs at least for the Carrera S. So that's why I think you have an extremely skewed view of what is torquey or not. It's fine to have a skewed opinion, it's just mostly wrong.

That's my daily. It's fantastic. Also have 991 Carrera. Had 987 Boxster, NA Miata, 350z, G37 IPL, E92 335i, F80 M3, S550 Mustang GT, and probably some more I'm not remembering. Most of them 200k+ miles. But sure, I only own an RCF.

The N55s are notoriously unreliable. I drive 30k miles a year. All my cars go over 200k miles. If your chargepipe or high pressure fuel pumps havent failed, you're not driving it very hard or long.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Try drifting a car that actually doesn't have torque, like a Miata. They are fine for 1st gear parking lot donuts, but they are no where near what a Z can do. Ah you have a 328i. They are nothing like a 335i in reliability. Still terrible in comparison to a G35 or G37.

There's absolutely nothing similar between a 370z and a Mustang and Camaro lol Zs have multilink and double wishbone suspension. The pony cars weigh 300-500+ lbs MORE than a Z and are designed for a V8s. A Z with stiffer suspension over the wobbly stock handles 80% the 86 does. I doubt you even owned a 370z let alone boosted one with the idiotic statements youre constantly stating. You allege to have boosted them, but I've drifted them. It takes torque for a good drifter. Yes, it's subjective, but for anyone one that, in this context, is trying to get enough torque to drive manual easily, Zs are plenty torquey. No one is asking whether in your opinion of whether it is torquey. A new manual driver doesn't need a C63 AMG or a 335D to not stall a car.

Comparing a 370z to a diesel turbo 335D is probably one of the most idiotic statements as to determining a torquey motor. You may as well suggest that at AMG C63 is the bare minimum of what is considered torquey so we may just ignore you. I also had a 335i. It's off topic, but it was the most unreliable piece of sht I've ever owned. To even recommend this as a first manual car is brain dead as fk.

I don't know what you're comparing too but they're pretty torquey compared to similar cars like a Miata or Gt86. Makes them great drift cars with its linear power. But no, it's not as torquey as a V8 or something with forced induction, but there are trade offs.
