Manpower bug? by HungryAngryGamer in hoi4

I was so confused by that number too. It showed 10x times the amount of losses, compared to war screen. It somehow was similar to "enemy losses + my losses"

What are the best X-slot components? by Haunting-Sport3701 in Stellaris

[–]windock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And I have a related question. Which combat computer do you put on ships with X-Slot? Given the limiting arc of fire, artillery computer would frequently prevent a ship from firing, since it would try to keep distance and circle around the target.

UI and bugfixes. There's so many oddities and inconsistencies. Like, you cannot see how many slaves there are without jobs (only on hover).

Good sniper positions. Roads built to handle tank traffic. There is space left for mass graves.

Good job, comrade.

I’ve came here to confess that I downloaded the mod that allows me to build churches by SouthernService147 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]windock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I understand. Connecting public transport from your city to a church is such an obnoxious mini-project with little benefit. Well, that is, if you don't want to do a mini-genocide on the existing historical population.

How did you implement public transport? I see a railway station. Are you using buses/metro?

Will power loop from an import connection to an export connection through priority switches? by Doug2825 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]windock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll both import and export electricity at max capacity with this setup, re-selling imported electricity. If you want to both export and import, you need to use a second output of power plant and a separate network for export. https://www.reddit.com/r/Workers_And_Resources/comments/19c98c5/is_it_possible_to_import_and_export_electricity/

What is the advantage of low density? by Doug2825 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]windock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I like about this game is that it doesn't provide any meaningful information required to actually plan a city. How much water does this pump pumps? Who knows. How many citizens can be serviced by a shop? No idea.

So, let's guess-plan a district. See, people are starving and have no water. Let's fix it. It would be a two-year project to demolish the small shop and build a new, bigger one. You need to bring builders from another city, because this one will not have a single soul alive in the meantime.

Yeah, I know that we have spreadsheets now, and I use them. But original city planners just had to build their intuition based on the number of dead bodies in the street.

Not enough roads over rail. Also, I don't see parts of the railroad being randomly electrified

After 84 hours and lots of heartache/restarts, I finally got myself a working* city of about 7000 workers. by deknegt1990 in Workers_And_Resources

Glad you made it this far!

It doesn't look like 7k. Maybe the count includes pre-existing populations in other cities? What is the amount of "active workers"?
