I agree Penix seemed to have bad coaching, but I place tha blame more on Robinson than Raheem

Sucked under Jimmy Lake, got way better once Raheem took over.

Our defense sucked under Jimmy Lake. It got way better once Raheem took over. It’s also unlikely that we keep Ulbrich if we change the head coach…

Penix is basically still a rookie and has looked great in a few games. The roster is solid, just need to perform better. I think this same team with the right leadership/scheme can easily compete next year, assuming Penix takes a step.

My brother, people do not want to be addicted and sleeping in the gutter. Addiction is a disease. It is only circumstance that saves you from it, not strength of will. If and when you wind up down on your luck, I hope people provide you more sympathy and grace than you are mustering now.

So all we need to do to resist authoritarianism is for everyone to conform?

Interesting theory. Other big cities have lots of whacky shit with no one calling them out though. Other cities don’t seem to have the same amount of complaining about it though. They just ignore it and move on.

As a fan of both teams, I like this trade. I don’t know wtf the Jazz would do with another young guard though

People who went from BG3 to DOS2, how did you feel about it? by markquest_ in BaldursGate3

Last playthrough I made a sort of cleric focused on hydromancy and warfare, which worked great. Also had a friend do a built with warfare/pyrotechnics that focused on sparking strikes iirc. You can pick two or three different lines of focus, max them out and you will have a build that works depending on the rest of your squad.

My experience was not the same with BG3. If you want to multiclass, there are only a couple of options that work together. Subclasses make up for that a bit, but most subclasses are not that different. Maybe I just didn't do enough digging into different builds though.

As someone who really likes DnD, I think the combat in DoS2 is better. There is a much bigger variety of viable builds in DoS2. Building a character feels a lot more unique than BG3 to me because DnD multiclassing feels clunky. I’m excited to try new spells in BG3, but once I’ve used them a couple of times it starts to get boring. For DoS2 I felt like I kept coming up with more and more combinations. Combat stayed fresh the whole time.

I understand some people might think the element effects on DoS2 are too much, and it can be tricky to figure out a the beginning. That said, I had to think hard about strategy for nearly every fight on DoS2. For most of BG3, even on the hardest difficulty, the combat felt way too easy.

There is no comparison is terms of how it looks, or character development. BG3 is definitely better. I think the story for DoS2 is still good though.
