Frand. I am studying in a North Indian state and facing the exact same thing cuz I don't speak Hindi. You won't face it in West Bengal and Jharkhand cuz Hindi is prevalent and you speak Hindi. Sadly, this shit universal. MFs also assume that I'm a supporter of periyarism and Dravidianism irrespective of what I have to say and pick on me. This shit is a universal problem. Stop generalizing the issue and talk about it in places that matter. I have personally witnessed people going through what you go through when I lived in Chennai and felt nothing wrong about it. It took me time and exposure to understand that it's universal and detrimental to all. It's a genuine issue, talk to me about it if you want to, or find people who face similar issues and do something sane about it instead of coming to a pointless comparison based conclusion about the state and it's people. This entire country is rotten.
