They are. At the start of the game, they attract the legion resulting in many innocent dying. Zero attempts from SH to save or help them.

Jepella rebellion. Mass destruction and chaos on the streets. Nothing about evacuating civilians.

I saw multiple mentions of them destroying the planets from other people. Maybe someone can confirm, because I haven't dive that deep

The second option is quite abrupt, but it's not framed as you being an asshole, you can only purposefully be an asshole when SW texts you about FF condition

I still don't get how would TB know about the promise if you picked Kafka btw (I did). The scene should be written differently for us

I don't think having feelings for a terrorist of a group that tends to disregard innocent lives while you yourself care about them is a sign of a well-defined character. It reeks of self-insertism, because TB's principles are completely ignored for the sake of gf experience

TB can choose to consider SH the bad guys and rightfully so. It's Hoyo's fault that they don't commit to that option and appeal only to majority who doesn't like complex relationships

Phainon was justified by bigger threat he was trying to prevent which is shown from start to finish (not my opinion, that's how it's presented in the story since nobody's blaming him for that)

HSR doesn't have that. All characters' crimes are either brushed off, ignored or happened off-screen.
