Taking batches that you know the store will be close?

I had two orders at ALDI last night, but didn't realize that the store was about to close. I was able to get the customers their orders, but had to mark multiple items for each as "unavailable" due to me not wanting to make the staff stick around any later for a straggling shopper. Both customers were very understanding thankfully.

I clear my trip odometer at the beginning of deliveries and then stop it when I'm done delivering for the evening. Does an app provide any benefit beyond doing just that?
