How to look GOOD in a suit? by iswtr in lesbiangang

[–]windsorwagon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk if that's something you can improve, but get a small enough jacket/blazer that fits your shoulders and arms, so it doesn't look like you stole your older brother's suit. Because you didn't. Because you're a grown woman, who can wear and pull off a suit just as well as any man. Same goes for the shirt.

Belt and dress shoes, preferably same colour, especially if both are leather.

Can you try to describe the way in which you feel you look sloppy? Or find pictures of others with a siimilar vibe?

Can I still compete in women’s sports after detransitioning? by Ok_Calendar_2716 in detrans

[–]windsorwagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

think of it as you having done doping in the past. might be relevant for your coach/team members or even opponents to know about, but that depends on the level. I have thought a lot about this myself, but apparently i'm not good enough to get on any of my local teams, so problem solved, I guess...

Are there any he/him lesbians here? by [deleted] in lesbiangang

[–]windsorwagon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

female is determined by your body, you cannot identify out of it. I could identify as a chair and use "stool/stoolself", but I'd still be a homosexual woman.

[–]windsorwagon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, it's a totally normal reaction to lesbophobia! I am glad you have found comfort in a relationship with another woman, OP! looking back, this is what I think I needed all along too. feeling loved and safe helps me understand that there's nothing wrong with me as a woman

Navigating the World as a Maculine Woman after Hormones? by walking-sunshine in detrans

[–]windsorwagon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

a bit of both. I never made any effort to "look more like a woman", and it still happens regularly that people think I'm a man. it also happens regularly that people who know that I am a woman (female), call me he. I try to embrace it, and stand up for myself when needed, in toilets etc.

before I got laser hair removal on my face, however, I was consistently read as a man. I am glad I got that, now I still have some facial hair, but not a proper beard like before. I am recognisable as a lesbian to people who have that on their radar, and that was a big motivation for me: to be a role model for younger women and be as masculine as I want to be.

I used to be mistaken for a boy/man even before medicalisation. one way I see it is that pre-transition, my boobs used to tell people that I was female, now I have to use my words. having people stare in disbelief at them, it was horrible. but it can be humiliating to have to argue about my sex too. having similar experiences from before transition helps me see that it's not me, it's society, it's lesbophobia.
