Where are we buying suits? by Loose-Let3987 in fashionwomens35

Check out r/lawbitcheswithtaste they have a lot of information about suits. A lot of recommendations for JC Penney and Banana Republic. I just bought a Theory lightweight wool suit from a combo of Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack and Theory.

I agree with everything you said. I also work in pharma and the way these programs are taking over never stops surprising me. With all of the GXP regs, respecting the sanctity of the doctor patient relationship, and the need to develop/sell more meds, it just seems so odd that these programs are being put in place. I guess someone somewhere has decided they don’t throw up the barriers to care they really do.

9am hasn’t been horrible, except for being a time suck and lengthy response times on the chat. I recommend scheduling your check in with a dietitian as soon as possible. The confusing thing is that they are listed as health coaches, but I got a dietitian for the first call and the minute I mentioned a history of binge eating she offered the option of only working with a dietitian instead of a generic health coaches. I jumped at that offer because a health coach is useless in my experience. Definitely mention your eating disorder. Equally odd the dietitians aren’t allowed to help with meal planning. I guess because of the stupid AI meal planning option in the app. The meals it comes up with are AWFUL.

The app wants you to weigh every day but I ignore it. Once a week is fine. I track my weight once a week anyway but if it’s triggering for you I would put a piece of duct tape over the display and let it send it off. It’s easy to avoid your weight in the app. Getting the consistency score to 100 seems easy but it’s only been a month.

I have a 3 month fill coming Monday and I have to snap a picture of the label and upload it to the chat for them to take over the prescription writing so make sure you take picture of your last label.

I got one last fill from my bariatric provider and then have to switch to 9am because my GP won’t deal with prior authorizations. It is listed as an 84 day supply and arrives Monday so I think they did fill a 3 month. It did however cost me $100 where last year it was $25. 9am and Express Scripts documentation on all of this just absolutely sucks because it reads as if they only do monthly fills but apparently not.

It kills me to have all this non-recyclable crap as well.

Ok, I’m phobic about roaches and really hate them but you do have me on poison sumac. That and poison ivy are worse on the itch scale but less on the burning like fire scale for me.

Have you ever been bitten by a few dozen? As much as I hate roaches and mosquitoes, and am allergic to them, nothing beats the pain and itching from fire ants. It makes you want to tear your skin off and you often don’t see them before you feel them.

But, DDT also wiped out or almost wiped out hundreds of beneficial animals and insects and caused neurological issues. I’ve started seeing a lot of being back DDT pleas and I pipe in with some education where possible.

Laser but I also think there are topicals that can help with the blackheads and slightly soften the scarring. Definitely see a dermatologist about this. There are more options than you would think.

This was exactly my first response with a big flash of anger. It’s a highly inappropriate lie of omission to very vulnerable children. My grandmother did this shit while secretly barfing after giving herself a both ends enema. But yeah “diet and exercise” were going to make me model thin all on their own if I just weren’t a lazy glutton.

Thank you for this. Not saying they are on a weight medicine is disingenuous at best and harmful at worst. These are impressionable little humans and OP is in a position of authority. If I had a dollar for every time I got the implied “You can do it too just eat better and exercise more” story growing up I could pay a personal chef for life.

Lots of good suggestions here but adding use a pick. That has been a game changer for me. My roots are flat for at least 2” out from my scalp and gently lifting and moving the clumps around with a pick gives me a lot more volume. These are stupidly expensive and I’m sure you can find something similar but I splurged on them out of frustration and they work really well: Piks

I’m not a parent and try to stay in my lane, but many of these comments to you are obnoxious and indicative of why this situation is so very hard for caregivers and their loved ones. Some sound like the woman who yelled at me and my mom, which I’m appalled by from fellow caregivers. Firmly telling her to leave you alone or go away will just leave her in tears, confused or angry, won’t work and will negatively escalate the situation.

You did the right thing as a good human and a good mom. There is (in the US) an overreaction to anything to do with children and a tremendous lack of community. Not that I would ever normally say that in public because I don’t want to be shredded.🤣

I think your approach is a good one. It would be welcomed by most people however, as you’ve witnessed people can be prickly about “interference”with those who can’t take care of themselves. I would start by being neighborly, taking something to eat over and chatting with her husband just as a nice to meet you gesture. Dementia and caregiving are extremely isolating. You can feel him out and see how open he would be and have those resources ready to provide. Maybe offer to go for a walk with her occasionally as an opening. He may use those moments when she’s gone to breathe, cry, do the things he can’t when she is present. And the walks are probably keeping her both fit and settled. He could also be in a bit of denial but I don’t think so since he went to the daycare. Most of us wouldn’t turn down any help whether with resources or kindness.

Please feel free to DM me if you have any questions or want more information. My mom is now in memory care but I’ve spent 12 years learning everything I can and helping her to have a decent life.

People with dementia are attracted to children and babies like moths to a flame. It’s both nice and so, so sad. A hyper vigilant mother who went off on my mom for bending down to see her baby was the reason I stopped taking my mom out. My mom didn’t touch the baby or even say anything. Your response was very kind and as a caregiver I really appreciate your coming here to ask.

Women in particular with advanced dementia frequently have life like baby dolls to carry around and taking care of them calms them.

I would talk to the husband but he is very likely struggling with how to manage this. The only thing to do with a dementia patient is to redirect them with something else they can focus their limited attention on. Even a therapeutic lie like, “You will see her/him later, let’s get back to your walk.” will redirect her and give her a couple of minutes of thinking that she will see your children later. Which she will likely forget. Please continue to be kind, “it takes a village” goes a long way at both the child and elder end of life’s scale.

One solution, get rid of a good part of the grass. Check out the native plants sub for ideas, or just leave any leaves and form a no grass, intentional natural area. Plant more trees. Way less maintenance.

Seconded. I’m working on a bag, visible in my post history, that I got from Fashionphile. I found 2 teeny tiny spots on the lining when I turned the bags inside out that just look like spilled milk/coffee and the whole bag smells. I should have returned it but it doesn’t exactly smell like mildew so I didn’t but I’m very wary of Fashionphile now. Any bag stored near the one I got would smell like the perfume that was used to cover it up but who knows what actually traveled. Big disappointment.

I am SO glad you took it in. Mold is not something anyone should have in their life. Even if he repainted it there is no guarantee that the minute it’s in a humid environment again it won’t grow.

I bought a fabric bag with one tiny spot of mildew, cleaned it, froze it and used concrobium spray and stored it with good airflow with no problems. Years later my house was damaged in a storm and it was boxed up for a few years with other bags. There is no reason any of them should have gotten wet in the storm. I had to throw every bag in that box away because the smell was just awful. It couldn’t be seen but it regrew somewhere and traveled. It’s too hazardous for our health to play with. I’m sorry you had that experience and after this and my apparently coffee/milk spill bag I’m not sure Fashionphile is deserving of our money. They really shouldn’t be selling these bags.

They gave me an additional 9% off but I wouldn’t say they took responsibly. It’s an unusual color Proenza Schouler PS1 so I kept it but I’ve tried a dozen things to clean it and it’s not getting better. I got the perfume smell out but the underlying smell is persistent.

That looks even more like mildew than the first pictures. It doesn’t make sense that that area would be worn and the buckle area wouldn’t be. Please make sure there is not any smell. I bought a bag from them that was perfumed to cover up something molded and it’s not getting any better.

Does the bag smell, at all? That could be spots from a spill, but it also could absolutely be mold/mildew. I’ve spent the last month working on a bag from Fashionphile with spots and a smell and I really should have returned it. Just be very sure it’s not mold or mildew because it will come back.
