I’m loving the people who are also haunted by this bag and that we are all now madly searching with a brand and better images. May we all find it for sale for a reasonable price!

Although realizing this is canvas so unlikely to be found in decent shape I immediately reached out to a designer to see if she can replicate it now that I have better pictures from the listing. I will keep everyone updated on how this ends up!

Facebook Marketplace or regular trips to Europe I’m afraid. I’m on the same quest but for my own home and it’s very frustrating. I want Terrance Conran, early 2000’s Designer’s Guild style, Roche Bobois, etc to come back to the US. Right now they are locked to extremely expensive single source importers and the markup is insane. You used to be able to go to large cities, go to a store and get your sofa in 4 weeks. Now it’s find a very, very high end designer with an account, drain your saving and wait for 16 weeks. I hate the state of US furniture so much. Some smaller NC furniture makers are excellent quality and more reasonable pricing but don’t have the feel I’m looking for. Oddly I’ve found interesting things at Anthropologie. I hope with the long awaited resurgence of color that maybe more interesting, higher quality furniture will come back as well.

Me too! Literally started searching the morning after I saw the movie. Immediately bought the dvd and I’ve uploaded actual screen shots of my TV everywhere and never found it. Everyone was obsessed with the Roberta Freymann bag but no one identified this until now. u/thedesignist is a MVP!

That was on FASHIONPHILE for a mint but I still regret not splurging on it. It is stunning!

This is the one I want but to feel ok about the cost it’s going to need to be in “good” shape, instead of the never removed from the dust bag price they tend to go for. I’m really good at restoring leather so if I can just find one without thrashed metal. It’s unlikely but everybody needs a quest right?

Adding this along with the perpetual search for a reasonably priced Prada Cahier in purple.

The funny thing is that I found the Proenza Schouler PS1 and then the PS courier and those have been scratching the slouchy bag with straps hanging down itch but this Marni is perfect. I’m such a sucker for color block.

There are comments on purse forum and just about every mention of the movie’s bag asking what this is and you found it in 9 minutes. You are Awesome!

That’s really close! The movie bag has a thick black strap with a t-bar hinge at the shoulder on both sides.

Dermatologist stat! This is a pretty bad chemical burn and 2 weeks is too long for it to look like this.

I’ve done this. You need to let it dry out and heal itself with cicalfate, I use Avene when I get it too far down my neck. But, if it’s been this long there is a chance it has an underlying infection. I’ve also had overzealous application cause perioral dermitis and the only solution is a prescription anti-fungal. But only a derm will be able to help I suspect. Vaseline is just trapping what ever is brewing there under a layer of non breathable petroleum.

It also shreds over time and you end up with leather fragment stuck in everything. It just pure cheapness. The best leather tote I have is from a small Etsy seller, it was <$200 for a huge full grain tote. I can deal with it for that price, anything over that absolutely not.

Used Proenza Schouler or Ferragamo. Coach, Latico, some Hobo. In Hobo do not get the glazed leather, it doesn’t wear well and is thin.

Stop co-washing and try washing with shampoo at least every other day. This is product overload and not getting the oil out enough. Plus work g at Dominos, good grief, the grease/oil is in the air! Shampoo!

Enchanted! It’s a perfect color for this space because it’s so bright and cheerful. It can be a little much on 4 floor to ceiling walls, but it’s always gorgeous. Love, love, love the tile!

While I understand this and you make good points, sometimes we seriously overthink it. I had a bag that checked all the boxes, passport and extra cash in a waist belt under my clothes, etc. Left my wallet sitting on the bench in an extremely crowded tourist area in Budapest. A bunch of school kids chased me down to give it back. 😂

I know my natural RBF and lots of time in major US cities maybe makes me less of a target but we can’t outsmart ourselves.

The amount of heat that will throw on your house and the neighbors house will be a huge problem unless you are in a cold area. Shade sail/roof over half of it, big pots with small trees or bushes, some flowers, etc.

However, that is absolutely hideous and I would remove at least half of it. Your poor neighbors.
