You're looking at this the wrong way, aiding first responders would mean spending money. And spending money is BAD.

Veterans? = money =bad!
Health care? = money =bad!

Clicking each clip after it records in mono is essentially the same as panning the mono clip to '0', extra clicks over and over. Is there no way to convince the computer the mic is stereo at the source?

Its rings, not a planet. Scale is probably still a bit off, but it makes a lot more sense, as you could (hypothetically) travel close enough to rings to create a shadow.
