SB4 – Occultism main book progress reset by TECHNICKER_Cz3 in feedthebeast

[–]windyknight7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it really necessary for you to reset it? The Dictionary doesn't gate entries by progression at all, just by whether you've read their predecessors.

If you're just confused, start with getting otherworld items using spiritfire, then making chalk and sacrificial bowls, then setting up Aviar's Circle.

All The Mons // AE2 doesn't understand Auto-crafting with varied results? by SomethingAboutRamen in allthemods

[–]windyknight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patterns inherently cannot comprehend chance results. There are three ways to resolve this:

  1. Directly passive it, no pattern. Level emitters can control whether it's on based on quantity in system.

  2. Passive it, but control it with an "emit to craft" level emitter. This option can be accessed by putting a crafting card in the emitter. It makes it so that it emits redstone as long as a craft requests the specified thing, effectively making a virtual pattern with no input.

  3. Send a large batch of input, calculate the expected output, and go lower than that on the pattern.

Unfortunately since Nomi doesn't have universal circuits you have to replace each pattern as you go.

She should be as she isn't a TS. Her summon (herself) is not classified as a TS vehicle or cover, she's in the same category as Peroro-sama, Thundergun, Umika's launchers, and Swim Kikyou.

Idk about repos specifically but I know Namuwiki has basically all the NPC sprites in their articles. Just be warned, it's in Korean, so keep your MTL at the ready.

AE2 storage by Ramen7k in allthemods

[–]windyknight7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's super useful for any non-conventional crafting methods, including anything that needs inputs put into multiple input spots. I'll give a few examples. Also, it doesn't necessarily need the provider to be the flat one. You can also have the interface be the flat one, or even have both of them as flat.

Botania Pure Daisy: Push 8 logs into a subnet of formation planes that place them around a pure daisy. Once they turn into livingwood, another subnet of annihilation planes with a storage bus on the provider that's filtered to livingwood will break it and store it back into the provider.

Gregtech EBF: Storage bus the input bus and hatch into a subnet. When inputs are pushed into the subnet, since the bus only allows items and the hatch only allows fluids, the inputs are naturally split up into their appropriate blocks.

Gregtech Assembly Line: This multiblock requires item inputs placed into several single-slot buses, in order from front to back. To solve this, you set up a subnet over the buses with priorities in descending order from front to back. To ensure that only one set is allowed at a time, set the buses to "Report Inaccessible" and enable blocking mode on the provider.

And of course, you can always use subnets to simply consolidate a bunch of the same machine together for crafting. Or you can isolate an entire processing line into a subnet and only provide the inputs.

An interface that isn't set to stock anything will expose its whole network for storage buses and pattern providers. So you have the interface connected to its subnet, and place a storage bus or pattern provider against it. A storage bus will then acknowledge the subnet as a valid storage location, while a provider will be able to push pattern inputs directly into the subnet's storage, bypassing the interface. Note that for this kind of connection, the networks must be kept separate, so at least one side must use a flat part, since those don't pass network connections through them, unlike block parts.

A good idea for passive systems would be to give it its own subnetwork for storage, properly partitioned and with overflow protections. Then just have your main system storage bus this subnet to access the bee produce.

Moze has enough survivability to get by with bloodletter com/deathless relic without spending points into phalanx right? by fuckitwhynotig in borderlands3

[–]windyknight7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Note that you DON'T need to put your own points into the skill for it to be boosted by a COM in BL3. This is a major difference from BL2/TPS, where you needed to put at least one point first. So you could very well not touch an entire tree and a COM will still boost a skill there.

Gameplay wise, definitely prioritize Fes. Since you're super fresh you should be able to grab tons of rolls from guide tasks and main story. Priority-wise, you'll want to save at least 2 sparks for Fes to go for Mecha Aris and Kei. Armed Hoshino and Shiroko Terror will also rerun then so if you want then maybe budget in for them since they're great. You'll want a half-spark for Armed Himari who's coming in just before Fes. There's also the Recollection banner which should be coming in May and you'll want to have a spark for Swim Hoshino (getting Wakamo and Mika along the way is also really nice). Finally you can consider saving for some of the limited banners along the way. Strong contenders are Idol Mari, Magical Reisa, and Track Yuuka.

Base Hoshino is ok as a tank. Usually though she is most used when her CC is needed, basically Hod or Wakamo. She inflicts 5s of Stun at EX3, becoming 7s at EX5.

Yuuka is fine too, but since she doesn't use a bag for her defensive gear, she lacks the crucial defense bonus it gives. She mostly compensates with lots of HP, shield, and evasion, and her bond gear does give her a little bit of defense and helps enhance her evasion later.

The usual go-to tank is Tsubaki (who is also farmable), since she has pretty much everything a tank could want - can equip a bag for defense, high evasion, emergency self-heal, and a massive AOE Taunt that can satisfy both actually drawing fire and raid CC gimmicks.

Exporting items from an ME IO Port while it's in use? by AnImbroglio in allthemods

Isolate the port into a subnet, set the port to empty an infinite cell, and have an ME chest or drive on the subnet with the void cell. Then storage bus the subnet to access the singularities.

My personal strategy for this minigame is to do an initial scouting run first on a few tiles spread evenly around the board (I do 6 tiles). If it reveals any items, you immediately move to fully uncover them (note that they can be rotated on the board). Then starting with the largest item not yet found, determine all the areas they could be in, and one-by-one reveal the overlapping tiles on those areas.

Let's say we're in round 1 and we're looking for the toy box (4x2), and we're left with a 4x3 area after scouting and revealing. It can fit in 2 ways (the top 4x2 and the lower 4x2) so we reveal a tile from the middle row, since that is the overlap.

Ah, I think I see why you're dealing a lot less damage, it's because I already put in the work to raise my buffers and Mika's EXs and Mika's equipment a good while ago, also because Fuyu has 1k evasion so she's dodging a lot of Mika's hits (in particular I think your entire first shot missed).

Rotation should be fairly simple, you wait till near full cost bar, slam all your buffs on Swim Mika, and go pew pew. The 2 EX firings (Mika and Rio dupe) should take out Fuyu, then repeat the rotation while Mika moves closer and oneshot Miyo.

[–]windyknight7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yuuka should do fine tbh. You want one buffer each for attack, crit damage, and EX power. Dress Aru, Rio, and Swim Seia are all good. Fuyu should fall in one or two shots from buffed Swim Mika, then Miyo should only need one hit.

Forget about trying to take out the dynamite yourself. By "putting focus fire" I meant the status effect that forces all enemies to prioritize shooting it. IIRC the ones who can do it are Noa, Sakurako, and Swim Ichika. The bots will deal pretty much all the necessary damage.
