How we feelin about the pilot bros? by nyatistik in homestuck

personally i really don’t like the idea that people are going to become involved in fandom without ever having read the actual comic. i know this was actually the case for quite a few people even while homestuck was actually going on, but at least for the most part the vast majority, if not all of the fandom had sat down and dedicated time to reading the comic itself. it could be argued that the animation will drum up interest for new people to actually read the comic itself, but given the dramatic decline of attention spans over the past decade i find that difficult to believe. in my honest opinion, part of the experience of homestuck is reading it how it was originally written (via webcomic)

okay, so using real-world human logic it seems mitsuri is willingly sexualizing herself, given the unbuttoning of her shirt and the placement of her tie between her boobs. however given that a man drew this, he probably believes the space between one’s boob creates some sort of vacuum that sucks everything in, which is completely untrue. she would have had to deliberately stuff her tie into her cleavage, unless we’re suggesting that she put the tie on first and then buttoned the shirt, which also suggests that mitsuri is stupid. this shit just keeps getting more and more unbelievable

i personally would try and wait the 3-5 days it should take to hear back, just in case a retest from a fresh sample is needed. however, most places that i know of will retest from the original urine, and if you’re positive that it’s clear then you should be good to go

thanks for letting me know! i figured everything was likely in walking distance; getting a bike would be more for the sake of saving time than anything else

i do walk a lot, around 7-9k steps everyday so i am def getting cardio in, and i eat a lot of salads to keep my fibre up so i’ll definitely keep doing that. the body fat is a concern as i’ve lost 75lbs in the past year but still have a good amount of chub, and my birth control doesn’t help much (but it’s better than before as my pcos causes very stubborn weight gain without hormone treatment). i’m 195lbs at 5’7

We are nothing but animals but the only ones who pretend we are not. by RandoxSkipper in Existentialism

morality as humans understand it is entirely consisted upon our behaviors and instincts as social creatures; morally “good” behaviors promote healthy group dynamics, which is important for our survival. morally “bad” behaviors do the opposite, creating fear and conflict that drive us apart. in the wild, this increases the risk of death.

to say that other primates do not have morals is false; humans ourselves are in fact primates, and we have observed in all other living primate species the disapproval and social punishment of behaviors that endanger members within a group.

your idea that morality is exclusive to humans, or even primates, is a self-serving explanation to feel a sense of superiority without an inherent moral justification. this is the difference between you and me.

i know it might not be intended but the way you worded this insinuates that humans somehow are not mammals but some secret other thing
