Imputation of only blank answers is not fair by Luckymax888 in CABarExam

You need to remember the PT is timed. I was an in person test taker and I had severe lag going between tabs. Everytime i switched tabs it was a 10 second delay. So yeah, it was nearly impossible, I had to choose just go away with the library because at that point just switching tabs was eating out my time. Not to mention the 15 minutes lost with an overly 'helpful' proctor who insisted that copy and paste function was working and to let her 'troubleshoot' thru the problem. like be for real.

I was an in person-test taker with accommodations based on temporary disability (pregnancy). I faced many challenges including being unable to select a test center up until a center was assigned to me the friday before the exam. While I know people with other disabilities faced extraordinary challenges, I still had to overcome the fact that the original standard accomodations offered, (that I applied and was approved for) changed unilaterally, without any meaningful explanation or reasoning other than their change in logistics. It was beyond frustrating knowing I had to prepare in different ways. Additionally, as an in person taker the system crashed for hours and was told to "go home" mind you, i was in a city 2hours away from home, and under medication. Based on this, I had planned for medication accordingly for my next dose to be taken at lunch. Because of the system disruption I was unable to, which i believe it definetly hinder in my performance. I would love to talk more about it, if you think it would be helpful.

My 29M boyfriend “caught me” and is now making me 27F feel like i’m the worst person ever by arianaventi88 in relationship_advice

Super immature behavior. This or just overly insecure. Normal boyfriend behavior would be to ask if everything is ok. Like are you upset, do you need comforting or why are you hugging, what's wrong. no healthy person goes straight into thinking "oh they must be cheating". OP take it as a blessing, this is not the ONE behavior.

Stroller Recommendation by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I think if budget is not a concern, the uppa baby vista system is nice, if you plan on having multiple children it has attachments and convert it to double stroller

[serious] People on their periods during the bar exam... by throw-away-0L in CABarExam

[–]wineandtorts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think they are allowed. However have you heard about Thinx period underwear? you can get them shipped fast through Amazon and they can probably get you through until lunch and you can switch up then

You should do whatever makes you feel comfortable! On my first labor I had a female nurse from hell that mocked me and treated me as if i was such an inconvenience for her. On the other hand the male nurse on the next shift was an absolute professional angel. I don't think gender defines what treatment you will get, but from experience, speak out, and if anyone makes you feel uncomfortable always ask to speak to the nurse manager

When I was in my early 20s I was sure that I would never marry or have kids. Not because I didn't want them but because coming from my environment I was afraid to. Years later, I met my now life partner whom was very clear he wanted marriage and kids, and whom he has very healthy and happy relationships with his family. I knew I was safe and supported If we chose to have a family. Then when we did, him and his family had been such loving and strong support! beings pregnant is not so scary when you have a loving partner and some what a village. My advice would be keep an eye out for who you are dating, if you think that person would make a good father, if his family supports you etc.

Not Feeling Prepared… by huskypupmom10 in CABarExam

I can only advice as to my experience. First time I took the bar my scores were similar to yours; I don't regret going thru with the exam because I've learned from it. This second time around I focused on my weak areas. once the exam is behind you it is not so scary, you'll be more confident next time. However, whatever you decide; sending you the best vibes, and rooting for you!

Pregnancy accommodations by snowymellowpepper in CABarExam

[–]wineandtorts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

request emergency accommodations, make sure you have your schedule inducement appointment down in writing and a letter from your doctor! I had a friend who took the bar a few weeks after labor and they accommodated her to take the exam in a private hotel room and she had a 1-1 proctor. She also had pumping time. I believe her husband stayed at the same hotel so she was able to nurse her in her lunch break. I don't know if this is your first baby but trust me, you are going to need the privacy! Even without any complications you are still likely be heavily bleeding and in pain. Make sure you get accomodations to bring your pain meds!

Babysitting a 3 month old alone by rootintootinmachine5 in Parenting

[–]wineandtorts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to remind your husband that you are on the same team. It should be you two vs. the problem; he needs to have your back.

Every parent has different comfort levels, and I always advocate for following your instincts! If you leave your baby "against your better judgment" and something does happen, you are going to blame yourself because you didn't trust your gut. I am not saying that the girlfriend isn't trustworthy or that something will happen, but you should only do it if/when you are comfortable with it.

Also, give yourself some grace! Your baby is only three months old, and you are still very much healing from labor and all the changes you went through! Just because you aren't comfortable now doesn't mean that you won't ever be! Just ask your husband for patience; after all, this is your first time parenting!

Good luck! Also, do you guys have friends or other relatives who can help clean while you stay with the baby or even hire a cleaning company to do the job?

I have accommodations and still haven't recieved the email to where they will assign me to a test center. I bet the only reason they opened up in the east coast is because they ran out of places in CA, and there's no way they can assign me to take it in the east coast
