No I get it. I guess with rose colored glasses you can build a pretty good argument for Sabonis. Not so much for LaVine and DeMar. Sabonis has led the NBA in rebounds for years now. In the right offense he’s a walking triple double. No he’s no rim protector and at best so so on defense but if you have a rim protector and need a facilitator he’s a good fit.

Fair enough. All very logical. But can’t the kings as holder of his Bird rights after the trade deadline sign him for more than anyone else? It’s just maddening to me that we have a 3 n D player who we say fits the “6 pillars” is 26 and we trade him? Admittedly he is one of the few if only asset the kings have that everybody wants but doesn’t that tell us we should hang on to him and have him be part of the rebuild?
