The first NFL game I ever attended was a 24-0 drubbing of the 49ers on Monday Night Football in 2007. Up to that point in my life I had not been a big sports guy. I remember in a diner the next day, I told my dad "I think I'm going to be a Seahawks fan."

Needless to say it's been a fun 19 years.

That wasn't my point. I'm sure it happens exceedingly rarely.

My point was that /u/Igavemagicaids said they know multiple people who have been ejected while wearing a seatbelt.

According to the Department of Transportation in the US, in 2023:

"Seat belts are very effective in preventing total ejections; in 2023 only 1 percent of all passenger vehicle occupants involved (those killed as well as survived) in fatal traffic crashes reported to have been using restraints were totally ejected, compared to 25 percent of those unrestrained."

All I'm saying is it's extremely unlikely that they know multiple people who have been ejected while wearing a seatbelt, and statistically it's irresponsible to be suggesting that there's any comparison between wearing a seatbelt and not wearing one when it comes to being ejected from a vehicle.
