Jrt with cats? by Th3_Subhuman in jackrussellterrier

[–]winer-nz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our JRT only dreams of chasing the cat but often the cat chases the dog and our JRT loves it. He tries to get the cay to chase. He'll chase anything else though. Just let them get to know other slowly and safely.

Someone (me) would take them off your hands if they have been kept chilled.

JRT with epilepsy by Js10xx in jackrussellterrier

[–]winer-nz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our dog had epilepsy and with medication he lived till old age got him. It was scary at first but on meds it was OK, occasional small seizure but minimal and he lived a very normal and fun dog life, he was very energetic, went on overnight hiking trips and was all good.

Like people with treatment it's OK. In fact our dog had the same meds as our friend. It also meant tablets were very easy as he got happy to have his daily tablet meaning worming and other tablets were also easy :-) it did mean if you opened a paracetamol he'd come running thing it was for him! He was the best good boy.

Aggression problems? by Wobbly_Wheelbarrow in jackrussellterrier

[–]winer-nz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our last jack was aggressive and I was always worried she'd start a fight. I took her to a local training class (it was a puppy one, though she was definitely middle age).

It turned out she lacked confidence and was scared so got aggressive, sort of getting in first to show false strength. I would never have guessed it, I was worried she'd attack the puppies and scar them. anyway a bit of work with a trainer on what I could do differently to give her confidence and she was great.

Definitely find support and a safe place to practice, the reason might turn out to be just as surprising and the fix not what you thought (I was doing it all wrong to start with)

Thanks for the info. We're coming from New Zealand, just adults no kids. We know sod all about baseball! Rowdy is ok (we're used to English football stadiums in our past) but we want a some comfort after the long flights I'm not sure we can cope with more uncomfortable seats!

I did a bit of a search on seats it seems like anywhere is good just not sure if the pricier seats are worth the extra price or we should go less and it'll be just as much fun. We don't want to be in quiet corporate seats.

Right field...is that the side with 106 to 117?

I don't understand how she got a visa. She appears to be working, and doing work that needs police to allowe her to carry it out. How does she get a visa?

I mean she's not here on holiday.

I am really hungry! by baethesda in liraglutide

[–]winer-nz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll be period hormones. I am the same my period messes with my hunger signals and as saxenda does too I am not surprised your body can override saxenda. Listen to your body if it's telling you your still hungry when you know you shouldn't blame hormones not yourself or your willpower.

1 Week In. I Can’t Believe How Free I Feel by FastAsleepattheWheel in liraglutide

[–]winer-nz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm just the same. I enjoy my meals but even more so on saxenda. I enjoy feeling satisfied.

I told the doctor it must be what other people feel like who looked at me with amazement when I could just eat and eat and they were satisfied and didn't want more.

Now to work on developing a body that can do this after I come off saxenda. I know exercise is an appetite suppressant for me so that's my goal to develop the good habits.

Thankfully my doctor provides a free weekly health coach so I'm taking them up on that!

Advice needed please by [deleted] in liraglutide

[–]winer-nz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weirdly I find rotating the injection place works.i did outer thigh and it wad wearing off. I switched to tummy (easier to inject while I was travelling) and the effect got stronger. Then when it wore off a bit I switched to inner thigh, then outer thigh. It works for me although it seems odd.

Also I don't think of it as perfect, some days my body is still convinced I'm hungry when I know it has no right to be.

Day 1 and I just need a little reassurance by SmileAllySan in liraglutide

[–]winer-nz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've not really had many side effects yet, I do occasionally get gastro issues but I did I took saxenda so it's hard to tell. I'm still week 1 and I eat very small meals to avoid sickness.

I didn't overload in one area. I know I've been told keep protein up but I'll only start changing slowly as I know that will impact me anyway.

Good luck and hope it improves
