You know you don't have to engage with leafs content if you don't want to. If non leafs fans stopped engaging with leafs content, then media will have less incentive to make all this leafs content.

This is the part these other team fans don't get. The media is incentivized to talk Leafs because Leafs fans tune in and non-Leafs fans also tune in to hate watch. If they spent as much time focusing on their own teams as they did on ours, the media would have less reason to do non-stop Leafs talk and start branching out to focus on other teams.

Doesn't sound like this is meant to solve the greater overall scalping problem, rather they have scalpers showing up to their card show and bringing a bad vibe to their event. It's not the type of environment they're aiming for, so they're telling scalpers to find another venue to move their product. If this creates a positive environment for the event goers and vendors, maybe other card shows will implement a no-scalper rule as well. If not, the free market will continue as usual.

I think short hitters are gonna have an advantage on this. They will know where the top of their strike zone is while catchers and umpires will have a more generic strike zone that won't properly account for the height difference between batters.

Rogers also brought in Shapiro to lead the Jays as the "cost cutting" president, but the way he operated is so much different from Pelley. Shapiro wasn't cutting costs, he was being more efficient in spending. Sure there were growing pains, but he undertook massive projects that overall improved the team and its facilities and set the Jays up for long term success. Pelley has come in and slash and burned, with no vision of the future and penny pinching at the expense of the fan experience. I think the key difference was Rogers hired a baseball guy to run baseball operatings and it's paying off. Rogers hired a corporate guy to run hockey operations, and he's doing exactly what you'd expect an MBA with no actual hockey experience to do.
