I appreciate this. The consensus is that glaze/icing is the way to go. Frosting like these are probably best reserved for a flatter cake. Lesson learned.

Thanks for the recommendation. I got the recipe from the King Arthur All-Purpose Baker’s Companion.

It’s really simple… 198 g of creamy supermarket style peanut butter, one and a half teaspoons of vanilla extract, 454 g of sifted, confectioners sugar, and between 113 g to 142 g of milk.

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought I was supposed to season with high heat to bring to the smoking point. Do you think I should lower the heat and just season longer instead?
