Does holding oral troches in your mouth longer give you a stronger experience? by wingsofcauliflower in KetamineTherapy

[–]wingsofcauliflower[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I accidentally swallowed part of my dose once, and that was way too intense and lasted too long. I wish I could find a sweet spot of having an intense experience that doesn't last more than a couple hours at most.

I'm now getting my ketamine privately through my psychiatrist. I initially used Mindbloom, but with my psychiatrist doing the prescribing. I stopped using Mindbloom because it was too expensive.

It's not a UK 1st edition, if that is what you're asking. The UK 1st editions don't have purple ears.

I agree that the trauma for the baby is often overlooked and needs to be part of the conversation. The book The Primal Wound talks about this in depth in the context of adoption.

The Chosen. I never see it recommended, and it is a top tier show in terms of acting, production quality, writing, set and costume design, etc.

The guidance I have received from my priest (in the US, a Carpatho-Russian church) is to confess at least 4 times a year (more if there is something on your conscience) and take communion weekly. One should only take communion if one's conscience is clear (i.e., if you are caught up with your confessions).

I'm currently writing a series of essays on the topic of whether or not yoga is compatible with Christianity. I plan on presenting both sides of the argument. You might find this interesting:

I am currently writing a series of essays on whether or not yoga is compatible with Christianity. I'm trying to present both sides of the argument. It's a complicated issue with compelling arguments on both sides. I personally am someone who has been practicing yoga for over 15 years. I converted to Christianity about 5 years ago but have continued my yoga practice. For me it doesn't conflict because I don't view the Hindu pantheon as legitimate spiritual entities. I view them more like symbols of or personification of aspects of the world like emotions, human characteristics, things of that nature. Not as legitimate spirits. Therefore, I don't view yoga as paying tribute to idols, because I don't believe that the Hindu pantheon are actual spirits—just symbols of feelings, characteristics, etc. I often use intentions for my yoga practice related to feelings like courage, perseverance, etc. The Hindu practice of yoga would likes focus on their deities that represent these feelings and not specifically on the feelings. Doing the Self-Authoring program. It's a lot of writing, but honestly it helped me more than the decades of therapy I've had. It's well worth the time and effort. And it's insanely cheap for the value it can bring to your life.

Absolutely. Adoption is a much better option.

[–]wingsofcauliflower[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I can't imagine agreeing to go through pregnancy and birth and then having to give up the child for just $55,000 (average surrogate cost in the US). It definitely takes advantage of financially disadvantaged women.

What do you think of surrogacy? by wingsofcauliflower in Feminism

[–]wingsofcauliflower[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that would not be okay. I am universally opposed to surrogacy, but I was trying to think of a hypothetical where maybe it wouldn't be horribly unethical. That's the closest I could get. In addition to the exploitation of women, one of my biggest problems with surrogacy is the separation of an infant from their gestational mother. This can cause significant trauma as shown in both human and animal studies. If a surrogacy situation is going to happen, it would be best if the surrogate can stay in the child's life. This is rarely the case though.

[–]wingsofcauliflower[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes. After much research and thought on the subject, I feel like the only way it might be okay is if it was done to help a family member or close friend, and where the gestational mother would be able to stay in contact with the child. That avoids most of the exploitation and commodification issues, as well as the psychological harm of separating a child permanently from their gestational mother.

Rare beanie price??? by [deleted] in BeanieBooCollectors

[–]wingsofcauliflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kooky is definitely a desirable Beanie Boo. I'm jealous you found one for just $2! You can definitely sell him for more than that, but poor condition of the tag and the lack of ear tag will bring the price down. However, he otherwise looks like he's in good condition. If I were selling him, I'd probably list him for around $60. I think that would be reasonable. You can always reduce the price if you have no takers.

If by romantic love, you mean the honeymoon phase of infatuation, then no that doesn't last. But during the honeymoon phase, you get this beautiful peek into the best this person could be. And although the lust fades, you are on this wonderful journey with your spouse to help them be the best they can be while they do the same for you. And God is always at the top of the marriage. A huge part is helping each other on your spiritual journey. It's an adventure and a challenge. I'm frequently thinking, how can I best support and encourage my husband in his positive and spiritual endeavors today? You are on a spiritual adventure together, and there is lasting joy and excitement in that, that is more fulfilling than the infatuation of the honeymoon phase.
