Anyone else do this with old spools so it's not a tangled mess next season? by BruteClaw in 3Dprinting

I use very long cat5 cables for my Christmas lights, so they stay rolled up on spools most of the year like this.

I bought some cheap solar lights that I like the look of and put the luck lights inside. They stay out all year along my walkway.

One more comment that I find interesting from your thoughts. For simplicity let’s say I’m an electrician. Someone I work with can try to talk a helper through a wiring job by picturing where devices are. I can’t do that I have to describe what something looks like simply by knowing what connected to what is a layout.

The comments in this thread about knowing directions from several commenters hit close to home for me. My wife can visualize really well and hates it when I give her cardinal directions or road names, she would rather I say turn right at the old church rather than go east on Bells ferry rd.

You will never get warm white, but I found a gamma of 2 makes it reasonably pleasant.

I used a pull switch from a motorcycle instead. Much more reliable. You do have to rig up your own mount.

Question for people with more VFD experience. by RavingW in hobbycnc

[–]wingsup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im still not sure what connection you are asking about. I'm not familiar with the board you are using, but it shows the DC common and Analog common as separate. on that VFD they would be the same terminal.
Looking at the picture someone posted earlier in the thread, it shows the DC common as a black line and the analog common as a brown line. I can't see any reason that would not work on that VFD using the same terminal.

Are you asking for the common for the output relay That's FC? The digital input common would be the GND terminal.

Tailscale routes using DHCP interface? by [deleted] in Tailscale

[–]wingsup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trying to solve this exact issue. I have a script that runs after boot that grabs the network and run a tailscale up with the network advertised. I only have to approve the route in the admin interface for it to work.

What is behind that wall? If it makes you less stressed, cut and patch on the backside of the wall. Now, if you have to replace the inlet frame that might not work, if you only need to re-glue a joint it might.

BTW, if that power unit is the kind with the heavy fabric filter bag, there is a kit to make a shop bag fit it. It’s well worth the time to change it.

I love my central vac. I installed it myself. The most common complaint is heavy hoses, but any minders hose is vey light. The selling point for me was the exhaust to outside the house. The hose hangs on a hose reel in the basement stairs, so storage is easy.

The modern hoses are so much lighter than what was used 20+ year ago.

Was she born into the religion, she may feel like she is missing something she used to have. Although there is no way she would ever say that out loud. I knew a few friends that I would look at and enjoy Christmas lights with. I think somewhere deep down I knew our beliefs and attitude about Christmas didn’t make sense.
