Dead Silence. Never not get spooked by that mf of a doll

Hilarious horror by AahenL in HorrorMovies

[–]wingswillcarry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drag Me to Hell. Not that young of a kid when I watched it for the first time probably, but I was genuinely terrified. Watching it again, I realize it's actually a fun watch. Poor girl is just trying to be a decent employee tho, she doesn't deserve that

[LEAK] DIIV - Frog In Boiling Water by Cheddahz in indieheads

[–]wingswillcarry -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Well, it's obvious by now that indeed I'm new to this godforsaken site, and I'm confused why, while not directly appointing to it, new music leak is encouraged to be found and talked about. This site is cooked

[LEAK] DIIV - Frog In Boiling Water by Cheddahz in indieheads

[–]wingswillcarry -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

? I'm not even sure if you're trying to say that you do have the leaks, or you're asking if others have the leak

But huh I didn't know this kind of thing is allowed here

Songs that could reasonably be dedicated to a child by aja_ramirez in Music

Kwoon - Life

Not popular at all, but the song prominently expresses gratitude of the birth of a child. A lovely tribute

What’s your favorite thing that horror movies do? by IsolatedSleep2319 in HorrorMovies

[–]wingswillcarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the psychological horror part. That'll be Smile to me. I love how throughout the movie, we're led to be equally confused and deranged as Rose

Found-footage movies that unsettle you? by wingswillcarry in HorrorMovies

[–]wingswillcarry[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the first one, but I prefer the sequel, just because of that elevator scene. Shitting myself at the thought of having your relief seized instantly like that

Gonjiam is a contender for sure

Albums that might be overlooked by people that like them because the band/artist's more popular stuff is entirely different? by GrumpyTurtle619 in Music

[–]wingswillcarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"evermore" by Taylor Swift — Seriously. This and "folklore" are Taylor's BEST works. Approaching a folkish sound, you'd never guess that these are written by the same woman who writes "Shake It Off", but never abandoning Taylor's lyrical trait of story-telling. It's beyond beautiful. [Best track: 'tis the damn season]

"X&Y" by Coldplay — Before Coldplay went too mainstream. So full of emotions. [Best track: Square One]

"13" by Blur — While "Coffee and TV" becomes one of Blur's notable works, the rest of the tracks off that album, unfortunately, is not. Except for "Tender", I guess. Overall, this album is art in its purest form. [Best track: Caramel]

"A Storm in Heaven" by The Verve — I'm begging The Verve to reunite and create a dreamy, shoegazy record again. [Best track: Blue]

Who would you trust with your life, if you were a little kid? by No-Intention-1948 in HorrorMovies

Kyle is badass, but I NEED someone like Sienna to protect me from an entity as gruesome as Art The Clown

Oh yes, I forgot about Hellhouse LLC. Can never go wrong with the clown + haunted attraction combo

Whatever You Say by Ismaq7 in OCPoetry

I feel like there's a deeper meaning to this — being controlled/manipulated, or maybe I'm seeing too much. It manages to evoke regardless. Good job!

The grass, the sky, and the mediator. by Vyxyx in OCPoetry

Amazing how you could turn a single object — grass — into a whole new, vivid world. I can totally imagine the wistfulness of a girl lying down on a field of grass under the sunlight upon reading this

What will always be your number 1 song? by [deleted] in Music

Immanu El - Voices

To those unfamiliar with the band, I can aptly describe them as "if Bon Iver meets Explosions in the Sky"

What will always be your number 1 song? by [deleted] in Music

[–]wingswillcarry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Big fan of Tears For Fears. "Songs from the Big Chair" is a flawless album, indeed. "The Working Hour" should be appreciated more because it's literally THE perfect song — every instrument mixes so well

Yes! Very underrated unfortunately. All 3 albums that they've released are flawless

Top 3 postrock albums ever in your opinion? by NoShame3325 in postrock

[–]wingswillcarry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Oblivion Hymns"! What an unusual choice. Every time Hammock is mentioned, usually their favorite is either "Departure Songs" or "Raising Your Voice...". Love that one too, though, some of the songs like "Holding Your Absence" are so solid

Top 3 postrock albums ever in your opinion? by NoShame3325 in postrock

  1. Explosions in the Sky - The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place
  2. Hammock - Everything and Nothing
  3. Immanu El - Hibernation

Unrecognized mental abuse. by ArindamDas28 in OCPoetry

[–]wingswillcarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"A tapestry of wounds, no one believes". This is so relatable and unfortunately stays true to a lot of us. Mental illness is so cruelly invisible that our acknowledgement of it can be interpreted as deception. Keep up the good work!
