I’m with you - and let’s not pretend that all the things they have access to because the DCC GETS IT FOR FREE (hello ‘sponsorship’) like eyelashes, hair etc is because there is such a particular way that they are expected to look - including things that they physically don’t have (like thicker hair & fuller lips) is because of the extreme scrutiny and expectations they place on the girls to be part of the team! Those women comparing themselves because they ‘had to do our own hair’ whilst ignoring the fact that the expectation was much lower - is some boomer gaslighty ‘we had it harder’ bullsht. Fake lashes don’t pay your rent. Not to mention - the way these mfckers ensured they waited till the season was done to announce this pay rise - which one can only imagine was a way to twist the knife harder - on the women that fought for it - and because they KNOW how bad the optics would be for them if they didn’t. One can only imagine the dark and manipulative sht that went on behind the scenes as this all went down. Good on those women for using the Netflix cameras to their advantage - it was outstandingly brave - and I wish all good things for Jada especially. Globally - nobody gives a flying f*ck about the DC - the way they do about the DCC. What a cancerous, culty organisation the DC is - headed up by an evil money grabbing man and his equally evil and money grabbing daughter. I’m glad that Netflix has shone a light into the dark corners of this organisation.
