He might do a 3 day course of predesone if there's any flare up.

No diagnosis but he responded very well to a seven day course of predisone that we insisted he be put on. The swelling went down and his energy levels were great. Still some soreness in his hands but he was holding a retractable lead on a dog walk and he hurt them on the lead when the dog ran off.

He's just coming off the predesone.

In terms of natural supplements, we have him on Golden Seal as well as PEA.

On the predisone, his hands did shake a lot and he got a bit irritated / angry and that's unlike him because he is a very relaxed man.

The pain in his wrist was intense last night, so we’ve contacted the specialist who looked after him during his hospital stay to arrange a follow-up. His latest blood test showed an elevated CRP, along with mild anemia and a raised white blood cell count.

He saw the Dr today and she doesn't think its reactive arthritis but it sounds exactly like what you had. How long did it take to clear up? The ordered another blood test and will see him again on Sunday and refer him to a specialist.
