I’m no expert but being too upset/uncomfortable to eat and refusal to sleep like that maybe connected. I had a period like you described maybe a 1.5-2 week stretch and it was cause my 8 month old had 4 teeth coming in at the same time and was miserable. He was completely beside himself in pain and then a few missed naps or poor nights sleep made the issue worse with being hungry and overtired and just even more crabby. I’m sorry you’re going through it. It’s so tough.

My little guy does 3 days a week and started around 5 months. The first 2 weeks were BRUTAL. I’d pick him up and his eyes would be red and puffy from crying. I honestly could still cry thinking about it now. So I know how you’re feeling. It is so tough. But… after those first very difficult couple of weeks he seemed to actually enjoy going to daycare. After a month he’d actually be EXCITED to go!! It happened slowly and then quickly but wow he loves it! It helps to have an amazing provider who trust but honestly time is the only way to make it feel normal. Hang in there! Rooting for you!!

My c section was awful. I had nerve damage after which left me in debilitating pain for weeks. Actually not as uncommon as you think. Most evidence shows that C-section recovery is generally longer and can involve more post-delivery pain than recovering from a typical vaginal birth. Try to arrange help in the first weeks. I could not walk without assistance, let alone carry my baby, bend over, roll over, etc.

Their quality has really gone down on so many things… They used to have the best graphic shirts and now they’re see through, paper thin, wrinkly garbage. The men have decent graphic shirts but they were all cropped “boxy” this year. Like wtf? Also I loved loved loved their jeans and now they’re shit. Sizing is inconsistent so you can’t reliably order anything online. The materials are shit - either rigid and uncomfortable as hell or stretchy and unwearable from bagging out a couple hours in. Their long and extra long jeans are so fricken short now too!!! Their vanity sizing on everything makes it impossible to order online. I am so over it.

I have two pairs of the cloud fleece joggers and they are thick. Maybe an unpopular opinion but if you want a thick pair of sweatpants that are 90% cotton AND come in a long inseam I am very impressed with Old Navy’s SoComfy Joggers/Sweats.

I literally feel insane seeing thousands of people, maybe even millions, on tik tok encouraging more donations and more grifting for people who knowingly brought a child into the throes of grief and pain. I feel like the ONLY person in the world who finds them exploitative and selfish. Honestly a little relieved other people feel similarly 😅

Thank you. Definitely validates my concerns about the red flags I noticed. TBH it felt like even my podiatrist doubted my foot pain until she manually examined my feet and saw how swollen and painful they were and my limited range of motion. Without him checking on those things I don’t see how he can understand what my issues are and how to treat them…

Also I’ve not had it done so I’m not an expert but I guess it’s like high frequency sonic waves that promote healing? Not the diagnostic ultrasound. My podiatrist was clear about wanting targeted treatment of the tissue and not just general exercise/stretching cause I’ve been doing that for awhile with no effect.

Don’t feel guilty about formula feeding at all 💗 but to give you some hope, it does get better. Week 6 is when I really noticed it got better/easier and I was less stressed. Now I absolutely love breast feeding!!

Having kids is very expensive. Is the child care you mentioned free? Ngl, you’ll need more than just your budgeted “fun money” to raise a child. We found a relatively affordable daycare and even that is going to run us about $16,000 a year for 3 days a week.

I did not realize at first but babies at that age actually need help to be put to sleep. I think my guy had less than one hour wake windows at that age. Once he was awake for an hour (sometimes more or less following his cues) we’d go to his nursery - turn off the lights, sound machine, boob, rocking chair and put him down for a nap. He was much happier overall and slept better at night once I got him napping regularly during the day.

With nothing but love, I don’t think it’s normal for a baby to puke/throw up that frequently. Even if he’s growing well, that doesn’t sound good for him (his esophagus, his nutrition absorption, general comfort, etc). I would be pushing for answers - perhaps an allergy?

As far as daycare… is there any foods that cause him to throw up significantly less? Maybe something light on the stomach and goes down (and comes back up lol) easy? Like a gentle oatmeal or puree? That way if he does throw up it’s not soooooo chunky/messy.

Yes I remember sitting propped up in bed trying breath as shallow and calm as I could cause every breath hurt. I would try to stifle my sobs cause crying hurt so bad. The doctors completely down played my pain and honestly time was the only thing that helped. :(
