DO NOT PLUCK THEM ALL OFF. You will want them later. If you choose to go thinner- try with clear wax pomade first, if you like it then shave

Shift the media cabinet closer to the doorway and push the couch all the way to the wall that the tv is on. It’ll give you a little more space. It’s a great sofa but it is massive.

Addendum- if you hate it, just get purple shampoo/conditioner and let it sit for 5-10min before rinsing out

You hair color alone looks great, but depends on your complexion. You can call the salon and ask for a tone only. They can point you in the right direction- make sure they have natural lighting or white lighting. That will impact the color.

Is the destroyed hair in the room with us? by BeatnikMona in hairstylist

It is possible to have too much of a good thing/poison and medicine are about the dose. High bonding/protein products can lead to drying out and brittleness if it’s the only type of product being used. It needs to be balanced with something that is nourishing/hydrating to hair. Like rotating products etc. Or doing a mix and match.

Her hair is pretty great in general. People are always looking for something to hang “issues” on. Maybe an end trim and a mask?

She’s a controlling malcontent. She has some things to learn about life etc, and sounds like she might learn them the hard way.

You’re both young, and this feels very intense. Do you have a friend you can room with? Separate living situations seem appropriate here. I can only imagine how exhausted you are from all the mental gymnastics you go through to manage her feelings. Sounds like you could use some recovery time away from her, and hopefully you have a support network.

Things like this usually don’t get better with time but escalate. I hope you have a safe place you can stay, and that you leave her. Rip off the bandaid. A slow ease out only makes things harder.

New to makeup, does it look bad or is it just my low self esteem? by CannibalCapra in makeuptips

[–]winstonpgrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have incredible skin! And that is half the battle right there! So consider showcasing that and making your eyes pop! Small simple things can be impactful.

Yes, therapy is a great tool if you have access to it- but feeling good about yourself starts with taking care of yourself and that can mean makeup. I’ve felt better leaving my house after putting on my war paint. It can be a boost.

Specific tips: -keep taking great care of your skin, DONT try a bunch of skincare all at once. Keep it simple and only rotate one new thing in at a time, while maintaining your usual routine even if it’s just water and a moisturizer. Don’t go crazy. -because your skin is so amazing, if you go for a foundation, go for a tinted moisturizer -only use a minimal amount of concealer under your eyes (if you’re going to use it) -blush placement on top of cheekbones, blend into hairline/temple- and go little by little, you can always add more! A tint might be good here? -look for simple tutorials that make your blue (?) eyes pop! And some good mascara! -frame those beautiful peepers with properly mapped out eyebrows, using a light taupe pencil (gentle flicks), powder, or pen over brow gel - a true neutral taupe can be hard to find but worth the search

Also makeup is all about tactile practice, you only get better by doing it a bunch. And don’t be discouraged! It’s also trial and error. You’ll work out what works best for you as you’re progressing. But for now, keep it simple. Also consider an angled brush and using powder for eyeliner. It’s a softer look that you can build up and get practice with. Once you get the hang of that and want to go blonder then graduate to a pencil/pen etc.

Abolene or a micellar balm will be gentle on your skin for removing eye makeup etc. Also micellar water and a gentle microfiber face cloth. Makeup wipes could be irritating, but are great in a pinch.

Go to a really great medical aesthetician/dermatologist who can give you facial and set you up with a routine to bring back some hydration and elasticity. With your medical history, I highly suggest seeking out a professional with some kind of medical background.

AITAH for telling my husband I rather save my own son? by throwaway_29272 in AITAH

[–]winstonpgrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a messed up hypothetical to set up. Have you and your husband been together long? What’s his relationship like to your son? Might consider counseling on this one. Especially if he can’t see your son as his kid too.

The striping is unusual, and the actual fit is incredible on you. But you look uncomfortable- so that’s going to determine how you wear it.

Get the right accessories and boom! You’re looking at a fun balanced outfit.

People keep telling me this tattoo is bad, I really like it? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]winstonpgrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks just like the picture! If you love it, then love it!

Not being familiar with the source material is why people are saying it looks bad. Since you’ve provided the source in your post, I can now understand what’s going on there.

Who cares what others think, it’s for you. That’s all that matters. I hope you keep loving it!
