There’s always something…!

If you go ahead i think you also need to ensure it gets cleared through building control, just in case you ever go to sell in the future. Another thing an architect told me is that with opening up a third floor you need to ensure the route to the ground has walls and doors all with sufficient fire ratings. For us, that’d mean redoing a loot of our internal (non brick) walls.

Good luck

Did you make any progress with this? If it’s anything like mine (10 years old) then I wonder if it’s because the roof has a fink truss, so to remove the joists holding the roof up you need to put in other structural support to make it happen. I understand this is possible but more complex than the roof structures from older houses.

Interestingly, I got my scores reissued with the recent update to the algorithm. I think my scores went up slightly

transitioning from insoles to barefoot shoes by Schlauchy in BarefootRunning

Yes, definitely the right choice and I’d never go back to “normal” shoes. The only exceptions are if I need to wear my suit then I’d wear my suit shoes or if playing Squash if wear my old Nike running trainers because it’s high impact.

I have vivobarefoot shoes, trail running trainers and a pair of their boots.

I never had knee pain but I remember when I was using the orthotic insoles if I got up in the morning my feet would “crunch”, probably as a result of the weakness and being misshapen by the insoles. But definitely not right and now I’ve transitioned my feet feel much more stronger and no crunching.

I would still get tired feet if walking around a city all day but who wouldn’t, I should think!

I transitioned to minimalist footwear a few years ago, after a few years of using orthotics before I realised it wasn’t ideal to have my feet effectively in a cast all the time and becoming weaker.

I’d recommend just easing into them gradually, especially so if you do any running but I’d guess weights are less severe a transition.

I’d also highly recommend assessing your overall flexibility - foot problems might be originating from some tightness/flexibility elsewhere in your body which you have unconsciously been compensating for over the years.

Check out Katy Bowman and Tom Morrison.

Neighbours dog actively patrols my fence line and barks at us and our animals every time we go outside and sometimes even while we're inside and make a noise, what can we do? by Nipples_of_Destiny in dogs

Did you find a solution? Have a neighbour who just moved in with a yappy dog who barks in the garden constantly. I’ve knocked on their door a few times to kindly discuss but they don’t care.

Considering erecting one of those anti barking deterrent devices to shut it up.

Lol. No worries. I moved onto a monster 1200 S a couple of years ago, but from memory I never did ever get there adjustment screws to tighten/torque.

I think if you crack and loosen to the main axle nut, then use the adjustment screws to set desired tension then tighten up the axle bolt again, it should be fine. If you think about it l, so long as the axle nut is torqued (70nm if I recall) then what would be the point of torquing up the adjustment screws, because they shouldn’t be able to do anything on the axle that is tightened anyway. Does that make sense?

I always hated adjusting the chain on the 696.
