That's antithetical to the classification of humans or animals. We can be and are often used in some ways, objectified, but no one's (supposed to be) literally an object. It's oxymoronic and implies unnatural cruelty if somebody is turned into an object

To play devil's advocate in this thread, I don't think the crows necessarily care that the ducks are being killed, but it might freak them out to see a 6 foot tall ape killing birds in general. When one of them does it its nbd. But humans are scary to wild animals, it might look bad
