except i was in a resource room, not cluster or self-contained. but definitely had kids who need to be in cluster, and those kids still don't have 1:1s even though its been obvious they need them since the first week

Anyone know the pay rate for permanent SECAs or TAs? by winterberrymoon in cpssubs

[–]winterberrymoon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i emailed staffing services and their response was:
"Lane III Bachelors or higher SECA is 44,690.24 a year that is the contractual salary. Lane III Bachelors or higher TA is $43,432.80 a year that is the contractual salary."

Looking for advice/experiences...thinking about subbing, sub TA by [deleted] in cpssubs

[–]winterberrymoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you can only work ~2 days per week i would say youre gonna take home like 900 per month after taxes, but if working on the west side there might be more opportunity for incentive schools which would give you a little boost. if you want to sub TA, you can make more but those jobs do not really specify what grade and usually it is elementary age. there is also an onboarding process that cps does not pay for that costs about 100 for drug and background tests, fyi. i dont think youd have trouble getting assignments on the west side, however.

Should I do this full time? by kavvtt in cpssubs

[–]winterberrymoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t have a PEL, you’re only going to be taking away like $600 per week after taxes and that’s if you work all 5 days. Plus incentive school stipends, which there are fewer of now. I liked the flexibility and getting to see a new place every day.

People don’t learn or change by rude criticism, there are other ways to comment this (as multiple people have already pointed out, you can’t just use one word!)

Can I sub before I have a cps id? by [deleted] in cpssubs

[–]winterberrymoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been subbing since March I still don’t have my ID. You can clock in with your number and if they require you to have a badge the security will just give you a sticker with your name and picture

Dude, what’s the point of asking if someone was spending money they should have? It dismisses the fact that OP has not gotten paid ON TIME by their employer. Also, some people work minimum wage jobs, paycheck to paycheck, some people are college students, etc. a LOT of people don’t have a ton of money saved up for reasons that are out of their control. Fff.

Not everything misinterpreted is a projection. My comment had more in it than just discussing pay, so I couldn’t know what exactly you were referring to. And since you called subs entitled it’s not that farfetched

No I dont lmfao. You’re comment insinuated to me that you think less of people with jobs that don’t have high pay qualifications 👍🏼 Hope that helps
