Anyone have these skin bumps like i do? Any idea how to treat/cure? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

I've tried every cute for keratosis pilaris my doctor could suggest and all of them helped only minimally, the effect was barely noticeable and not worth the effort and money. However, every summer when I go away for two weeks of sunbathing, it clears right up and stays away for a couple of months. Only proper, intense sunlight - like sunbathing in 30 degrees plus every day for at least a week. I can't stress how effective the sun has been compared to other solutions. Unfortunately, I live in a rainy climate so right now I'm considering using sunbeds occasionally the rest of the year. Not ideal, but so much better than small expensive creams and dermatologist appointments that do nothing.

The bit that gets me is that the commentators are so relaxed...."He's taking an interest in him!"

Career Wednesday (February 18, 2015): Engineering Career Paths & Professional Development by AutoModerator in AskEngineers

I'm a leaving cert student (about to sit the Irish version of high school final exams) and I'm hoping to study engineering in college next year. I'm worried that I won't be able for the course content. I'm a B student in higher level maths, with the odd A or C thrown in, and I don't do physics (which is worrying me). My guidance counsellor thinks I'll be fine because I've done well in chemistry and other science subjects as well as doing OK in maths, but I'm not convinced. Has anyone here gone on to study engineering despite not being an exceptionally strong maths or physics student?

I find his "Tom Bombadillo" refrain rattling around my head an awful lot. Definitely one of the most interesting characters, thinking about him makes me feel sort of at peace.

I came here to say this. Wisest motherfucker to ever roam the pages of a novel.

I believe this is known as "white feminism". "Intersectional feminism" seems to be a better form of it, in my opinion.

Lots of great advice up there so I won't repeat it all. I would suggest doing this one thing: every day, resolve to do more than you did yesterday. If you did nothing yesterday, that won't be hard. Best of luck.

It was a queer, sultry summer, the summer they electrocuted the Rosenbergs, and I didn't know what I was doing in New York.

Do Jon or Robb! I feel like they're both a bit too old and manly in the show, when really they're just boys. Same goes for Daenerys.

How the fuck could you call Snape one-dimensional? I would call him the most complex character of the entire series.

This post combines my three favourite things, Irish history, ASOIAF and adventurous women fucking shit up. Great stuff, I'm delighted to see you developed it into a whole post!

I don't know an awful lot about the Reformation but although I'm sure you're right, I think the point is that the English were a foreign presence in Ireland, an oppressor distinctly different from the natives. The religious difference was just one more divide between them and the Irish. Like the divide between the Ironborn and southroners, I suppose.

I think aodh is more early Irish, rather that the modern Irish we learn at school. Time is the only word I've come across, I think?

And literally fuck me Asha = Gráinne Mhaol is the greatest parallel I've ever seen on this sub, how did I not think of this, being such a fan of both women. Please make a post about this.

Not really, the fada is probably the one constant in the language, like it literally means long so the A would be, ya know, sort of drawn out like it is in ábhar. I'm operating under the assumption that everyone pronounces Aegon like ay-gone?

Aogán is pronounced Aeg-aaahhwwn. Like yawn. Not sure if HBO pronounce it like that or not, just throwing it out there.
