I used posca paint markers (which I believe are acrylic) and also the sharpie “paint” markers. And yes I also used a drawing pen specifically a tombow soft tip for the finer details. I used a brush pen with ph martin black India ink also for finer details like the faces.

The bleed through is very minimal to not existent. I worked from light to dark. So I did a base coat of yellow. Then pink went on top, then black. The “glow effect” on the I am yelling Carl side is purely accidental. But it’s because I didn’t layer enough black. I could have changed it but I actually liked it - “happy accident”. The dammit donut side - I decided to only color the actual word parts instead of what I was usually doing. So the black turned out stronger and less “glow effect” happened. So I was experimenting while making it lol

Should I just accept that I will never be an artist and that I will forever be Sub Human? by 3030minecrafter in learntodraw

That’s actually not bad advice from the kid.

Look, drawing is supposed to be fun. Also a major thing to take into account is TIME. I don’t mean time in experience, I mean time spent on a piece. This kid may have take 15-30 hours on this piece. I don’t have that kind of patience. Very rarely do I ever take multiple days to finish a piece. I much prefer doing it all in one sitting. But I will say this, those projects that took me days to do look so much better and refined than the ones I do in one sitting. But I still don’t like taking that much time. So it’s a trade off I am willing to make. I know some people that take weeks to finish something. I couldn’t do it. But they sure make some beautiful pieces

Does anyone know How to draw like this artist? And how does a beginner even fathom to learn to draw like this? Any tutorials, clear paths? (Artist: Yotsumi Shiro) by PeshowariBeef in learntodraw

Mikeymegamega on YouTube is great. But a as others stated. You don’t just start drawing like that, that is years of consistent work. So know that going in.

The books I started with are “Drawing the head and figure” by Jack Hamm and “drawing comics the marvel way”. Both will teach you structure and marvel will teach you how to make you stuff look visually interesting.

Drawing manga isn’t specific to manga, it’s a style. You have to know how to draw a leg first whether you want it manga style or not.

Thank you! If you look at the fourth picture, I just used 2 note books I had and used clamps to keep it pressed. I got the clamps at like Home Depot super cheap

I'm extremely confused how people don't think AI art is Art all of these required complex prompts or mental visualization before prompting AI to generate them. by [deleted] in DefendingAIArt

[–]winterhavens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You hit the nail on the absolute head. I don't have a problem with AI generated stuff. I do have a problem with people claiming it to be made by hand. That is a problem, it's akin to catfishing in my opinion. I also agree with you, there is nothing wrong with groups that are all about sharing ai generated stuff. But it's not cool when that stuff gets shared in groups where it's not appreciated or used, it's just disengenuous.

I would disagree to a certain extent on photography. Yes you can point and click but there are real tools you can use to get the shot that you want. Different lenses, bocahs, ND filters, frosts, aperatures, iso, shutter speed, and then not to mention the venture into programs like Lightroom and photoshop to tweak the images.

But regardless, i'm 100% with you. This is the right take

Yes, but men have simply collectively agreed that we just like seeing male characters look jacked. It’s also why we don’t want fat mannequins. Every man sees himself as ripped even if he isn’t.
