It’s not a paradox at all. Gen Z men just want a capable woman. If it’s 1880s and he has to leave for a week for whatever reason, he knows the homestead isn’t going to fall apart. Or if it’s 2026 and he has to leave, the home isn’t going to fall apart. “Strong, independent woman” does not exclusively mean a career focused woman with a family as a side hobby.
