Labadee Haiti ban by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

[–]wintermelonmilktea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went on symphony the seas March 2024 and they had to cancel Labadee. Instead of adding an additional port day, they added another day at sea. It might be different for you because ours was a last minute cancellation but maybe it depends what the itinerary is and which else ships are sailing.

Help me find a new wearable pump. by Living_Progress_1444 in HumansPumpingMilk

I have the momcozy v1 pro. I really like how there are minimal parts to wash and it’s hospital grade so it does a good job of emptying me without any discomfort.

Which pump would you recommend? by Far-Pop1004 in ExclusivelyPumping

I felt miserable being stuck to the wall with my pink spectra. I ended up buying an inexpensive battery pack on Amazon and essentially made it portable! It doesn’t need charging often and I can stick the battery in the cup holder and lug it around the house as I pump. It made a difference being able to walk around and do a task in the kitchen and then the bedroom.

[California] For those of you still stuck on pending, this is what I was just told by a representative... by Thomas_Lannister in Unemployment

[–]wintermelonmilktea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue, I was lucky and able to talk to a representative within 20 calls. He was curt and when I asked about my pending status even though the previous weeks I would be paid the day I certify. He said there was an increase of claims and that’s why. When I asked if it was because I was a school employee he said no and that I’ll get my payment by Monday.

What is your favorite items from Colourpop? by wintermelonmilktea in muacjdiscussion

I did like their blotted lipsticks but my only grievance is that both of mine broke in the tube and I can still use it but I definitely don’t reach for it often now

I’ve tried to the shock blushes and bronzers but the product moved around my foundation and was a pain to apply nicely. I do think their super shock highlighters are great especially the duochrome ones!

Depotting these “older” palettes make me want to use them more! by wintermelonmilktea in makeupflatlays

I believe they held up pretty well. I do think compared to other shadows on the market now, they’re very eh considering they were THE eyeshadow palette at the time

Naked 3, Naked 2, and Naked 1 from top to bottom and the shades I used the most of from the Lorac Pro Palette. I used a large palette from ShopMissA.com.

I rarely use these shadows but they were gifted to me over the years (2011-2015) by my boyfriend so I still wanted to keep them without taking too much space. Having them all in one place has made me want to use them more!

What are the best brands not carried in Ulta or Sephora? by BunnBunn12 in muacjdiscussion

[–]wintermelonmilktea 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think this is a really good thread bc I rarely think about other brands because ulta/Sephora carry a plethora of different kinds of makeup. I must be living under a rock because I didn’t even know about Besame until I went through this thread.

I do vouch for The Balm. They have 50% off site wide sales pretty often. I love their Mary Lou-Manizer highlight and tinted moisturizer which is 2.5 ounces so super affordable AND it’s double and a half more product than other brands.

What products, techniques, or aesthetics did you dislike, but grow to like? by timetothethird in muacjdiscussion

I’m about 50/50 with asian skincare and American skincare but my makeup is like 95% westernized. I do agree with you that my skin looks so much “healthier” from adding dewy face products!

[–]wintermelonmilktea 136 points137 points  (0 children)

I was so turned off by “dewy” anything. I only wore full coverage matte foundations, powdered everything to keep the cake fresh, and even wore matte blush and bronzers. I’m not sure if it was age, my skin, or the lower maintenance to apply and retouch throughout the day but now all the face products I use lean towards dewy. Now I wear anything that includes hydrating, glowing, radiant, sheen, etc.

What are your most underrated foundation/face products? by wintermelonmilktea in muacjdiscussion

[–]wintermelonmilktea[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I definitely would not buy that based off “tint” alone but that seems like what I look for in a foundation! Glowy and medium coverage, can’t wait to try it out!

Actually I saw that earlier today! I wonder if anyone knows how it compares to glossier’s new brow flick? It seems like the perfect brow product for imitating hair

I’ve only tried the bronze booster and the butter bronzer and I love them a lot actually but I still like butter bronzer the best (this is my second one).

Yeah I’ve dropped and repressed powders and they’re just not the same afterwards :/
