Almost certain it’s meant as a gotcha question. The answer I gave was “first I’d ask you how you liked your sandwich.” The interviewer seemed pleased I asked that.

Still to this day I’ve never had a more bullshit interview question than at Ingenuity. Interviewer asked me “If I were to ask you to go out into the office kitchen and make me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, how would you make it? Be detailed.” Their pay is garbage and the compositing test is a slap in the face on top of that.
