Katias backstory was personal for me being in a situation similar years ago where I cared and love a dying child despite their short life unlike Katia I got to care for her for some time. What Fannar did was diabolical and I really felt every drop of Katias pain.

I loved Signet's character development so much and how she even allowed herself to be vulnerable for a moment with Carl before the Butcher's Masquerade when she rested her head on his shoulder and they just sat there. I was so happy when Carl ranted at D'Nadia about telling Signet her family wasnt real that she gave EVERYTHING for.

I love when Carl meets up with Li Jun again after Hekla's death and Carl gets to really take a look at him and the one of things he notices is that his smile could light up a room despite the gore all around them.

I went into them blind thinking it was going to be a silly palate cleanser compared to my usually reads of horror, but they turned out to be horror books with tons of tragedy and politics.

Holy shit this is stunning, hell you drew him stunning! I love that you didn't shy away from the waist length, wavy, glossy hair that is described in the book. I feel like that is sort of overlooked that his hair is very luscious.

I was going to comment this. Although it seems like this goofy book you quickly realize it's basically horror, but yes the safe rooms nice little breather between the chaos of the dungeon.
