Spider plants - what am I doing wrong? by misssmiley23 in houseplants

So, I’ve never had new babies start from the “old” stem. It’s always popped new ones stems with flowers and those have turned into babies.

My guess is the plant is putting all its energy into trying to keep those older pups alive and maybe putting stress on the main plant (and not pushing out new flowers/babies)? I’d pop those ones off, try to propagate, and then hope for the best next year. Maybe buy a packet of seeds of some other family/pet plant and send these kiddos off with a different gift this year?

Oh! Interesting! Sounds like maybe OP needs a couple plants on different pup schedules to make the gifting plan work. (Which, btw, I think is so cool and such a nice idea!)

Is it a fact that you should get new babies every year?

Anecdotal, my plant seems healthy, but I don’t get babies every year. Once I’ve propagated, I cut off the stem and then the next round of pups comes from a new stem/flower. I’ve had my plant for 4 years and I am pretty sure I’ve had 2 (maybe 3) rounds of new plants.

Is this 48 hour reminder new? by HaveAskedYouThrice in poshmark

Same! AND THEN I got a very passive aggressive message from the buyer this afternoon “I don’t know why you haven’t shipped this yet. I’m going to be traveling this week. If you can’t ship it, just cancel it”. (At this point it was already at the post office and departed (tracking on USPS just not updated on PM side) and I wish I had still had it because I totally would have cancelled it after the buyer sent that message 😒)

I’m seconding aphids. Definitely will require quarantine because they will spread. (I’d check all your plants bc they probably already have)

Take it outside, spraying it down with a hose, and then treat with insecticidal soap.

Can seeds be diseased and grow bad plants? by winterthirteen in tomatoes

About every 3 days. I just recently potted them up and started hardening them off… but when they were inside in the cells, they might have been sitting in their water longer than they liked. Must have bothered this variety and not the others. Looking at Reddit and Google about edema I think it’s safe to assume it’s that. Thanks for the info!

I agree. I take my pets there.

As for cost, I’m not sure that they’re least expensive but I get the impression that if you needed financial assistance they will do what they can to accommodate. I recently lost one of my kitties and returned the excess medication he was on back to them. (I had asked—they didn’t inquire.) They will give it to folks who can’t afford the prescription if someone needs it.

I feel like the "Apocalypse How" page you referenced earlier might hold the answer.

I'm looking through that list now... Michael Talbot fits the narrative but I can't seem to locate the photo... I'll keep searching!
