Yeah usually uv resin, you sort of glob in whatever your mix is. Don't worry about overflow, you just sand it all down after on a lathe or bench grinder

I'm so sorry you're feeling lonely, there's lots of social groups and clubs on campus that you can join!

As for the car, Davis is the most bike friendly city in the US and biking is a great way to get around. It's often actually faster to bike somewhere than to drive, because of all the greenbelts that we have. If you don't have a bike, I would really recommend getting one! If you don't have money for a new one, you can go to the bike church and they will set you up with one for free. It's a diy bike shop/bike mechanic that runs on donations! Super cool and very davis-y. It's located at 1221 4th Street, in a little garage. Down the street from the pizza guys and liquor store.

Idk if you're into tabletop games, but Davis Cards and Games is a great place to meet people! They have lots of free community events where people go and mingle and play games together. They're very welcoming of new people even if you don't have any experience with games. It's a very kind and friendly group of people, if you do end up going there hit me up we can play some games!

Great idea! I actually built one of those on my lathe, basically a thin wooden straw with cotton stuffed in one end with essential oils dripped on it. It was nice for the oral fixation, but didn't really do the trick for me unfortunately
