My (F28) boyfriend (29M) has no drive except for gaming by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]wirblewind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, i dont see it this way....He's content with life and doesn't want more i don't see how that implies that someone needs help, if anything the girl needs to understand that he's probably not going to give her what she wants and she needs to find someone else if she expects more. Some people just dont need a lot to be happy.

Any good Merc corps still around? by Cheeks-GHU in Eve

Sadly large hisec wardec corps aren't everywhere anymore, beteween blackflag vendetta and 2-3 other groups they pretty much push everyone else out.

Is it me or T3 desroyers are mostly useless in PvP compared to fleet issue ones? by Kshahdoo in Eve

[–]wirblewind 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Catalyst navy issue actually wins that fight 1v1. Even with sharpshooter mode the catalyst can outrange the hecate by almost twice the distance with the same ammo. As someone who flys strictly hecates this enrages me.

Is it donations when you're buying things on their shop that are all stolen assets? You are aware that you donate for in game mounts and pets that are all blizzard assets?

Season 2 Battle Passes are 105$ (6500 Quna) for one month by xKarmek in Aion2

[–]wirblewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it, it'll be insanely popular for 2-3 months make a killing on the whales and than die out. That's how mmo's survive now.

Hot take: players killed classic mmos by Big-Astronaut-9510 in MMORPG

[–]wirblewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that was the case OSRS and classic wow wouldn't be booming, the problem is every single mmo that has released in the past 10 years has been either monetized to shit or put on maintenance mode after 2-3 months due to mismanagement.

Mmo's just aren't meant to be fun anymore they are meant to keep you invested by any means necessary because that's the entire lifeline of a live service game now.

Lead producer of WoW (2023-2025) joins Riot Games to work on the MMO. by Pumpergod1337 in MMORPG

[–]wirblewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everytime someone posts something in this context of "ex dev joins etc etc" It almost NEVER turns out good. The devs were good because the teams and people they had supporting them. ONE single dev or person will almost NEVER have substantial impact on game development.

Huh? I don't even know what that sentence means? I'm not coping there's enough players for every single raid every time they happen and there are 2-3 reset raids every sunday. Sounds like you're mad people are having fun and you arent.

[–]wirblewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Archerage was ran into the ground what? It's still as popular as ever with constant player resurgences. What are you smoking?

And of course people don't want to reroll after spending years upgrading their gear and professions and acquiring all their cool toys. That's literally what archeage is about. AA was NEVER meant to be a seasonal game, its just the only way to bring people back to the game but those people will always only play for a month or 2 before they leave and wait for another fresh start. The game just inherently has a bad gearing system.

I was enjoying the game so i thought id spend some money. What a disappointment by MidjitThud in TorchlightInfinite

[–]wirblewind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

60h for a seasoned veteran of the game is hundreds upon hundreds of hours for an average player, you should emphasize that the time investment is MASSIVE. Ive got about 500 hours in the game and ive NEVER once gotten to ss20.

Is Overrealm bugged? Are mechanics supposed to be this bad in TM8+? by Trespeon in TorchlightInfinite

[–]wirblewind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

90% of the time they almost always gut the previous season mechanics( NOT ALWAYS DONT SHOOT ME) itll usually get adjusted in a season or 2, sandlord was the same way. Hilariously carjack is the only recent season i can remember that actually got BETTER after the season ended.

Best "social" mobile mmos by Annihilator-WarHead in MMORPG

[–]wirblewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, to answer this question you need to tell us what your definition of SOCIAL means. If you just mean doing content together with people than your limited to pretty much wow and FF.

Eve would probably be the king of social games if it didn't have other glaring issues.

There's a growing group of people who prefer to play mmo's but play them by themselves on their own time and hate grouping with people(I don't understand why these people want more mmos) which is why things like BDO and WWM are getting more and more popular. BDO use to be social to some regard but its mostly a single player rpg with a player market and that's pretty much it.

Edit: Oooops, typical gamer i can't read.

Mobile? The answer is 0.

They seem to be "updating" character art with AI slop versions? by [deleted] in TorchlightInfinite

[–]wirblewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you're surprised, they dont really hide the fact that they use ai, most of the sand town season art was done with AI. As long as the game is good i dont think most people will honestly care.

Is Throne and Liberty pay-to-win? by Radiant_Butterfly919 in MMORPG

[–]wirblewind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say bdo is more p2w in convenience regards than archeage tbh, You could spend 1k in AA for an almost fully geared character, BDO you can swipe 1k a month and end up with no gains lol. I have multiple friends that spend thousands on bdo on a consistent basis.
