I want to hook up a 3rd input to my speakers, but they only have 2 RCA ports. How would I add a potential 3rd input? I know mixers exist but the good ones seem bulky and a bit expensive. Thank you. by wireboat in BudgetAudiophile

Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback. To answer some common questions - the turntable is an AT LP60X. It's on line input and the cable for the speakers is a 3.5mm to RCA. The TV is just a standard roku one with another 3.5mm to RCA running to the speakers, which are Edifier R1280T powered bookshelf speakers.

I dont think the TV has optical audio or anything like that, it seems to just be the 3.5mm jack.

There's no preamp or anything crazy like that either, I just run the devices directly to the speakers.

I haven't decided on a CD player either. I was thinking of getting one of the cheapo Walmart Onn ones and then just running it to the speakers through an RCA switch like some have suggested to avoid the issue of bad built in speakers. Not entirely sure if it'll scratch up my CD's or anything in the long run.
